He does.
Or does God stand outside of such a basic requirement?

So the resurrection was for nothing?
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (John 3:16 KJV)
There are two kinds of belief:
- with the heart
- professed with the mouth
The second kind is condemned all over the bible, and those who practice it will be destroyed. The first kind demonstrates itself in good works and righteousness.
Therefore we can rewrite John 3 16 as follows:
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever practices good works and righteousness should not perish, but have everlasting life. (John 3:16 KJV)

Christ was raised so that everyone who follows his commandments can have life eternal.
Only the arrogant narrowminded Christians think that Jesus Christ belongs to them.

It leaves not room for repentance
Doesn't cover sins committed between birth and salvation
It temporally dependent whereas the bible indicates that the blood is in heaven and speaks eternally (i need to look this up though)
It means that there is no sacrifice for future sins.
Originally posted by @divegeesterI know what Christianity preaches and I have read the enormous convoluted writings of those who dont like these passages, and how they jump through hoops to explain away the truth. But this is what the Bible says about the death of Christ, about sins committed before a knowledge of Christ, and sins committed after Christ.

Many people can and do repent. Repentance has nothing to do with the church or the pastor or confessing your sins before men. Repentance is about a change of heart within the man. It is between man and God. A man can sin, then one day he repents and continues therafter to live righteously with God. no Christian doctrine or even knowledge of Christ is required for this to happen. This man if he lives a life pleasing to God is destined for the Kingdom of God.
Here is what the Bible says about sins past present and future.
PAST SINS:
Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus. (Romans 3:25-26 KJV)
Jesus's sacrifice does not automatically cover all sins as the bible clearly states:
For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, (Hebrews 10:26 KJV)
There is no sacrifice for future sins.
For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame. (Hebrews 6:4-6 KJV)

Buddy, if EVERY sin does not eventually come under the redeeming blood of Jesus Christ, we will never make it.
My advice to everyone reading this thread, bring every known sin under His blood and confess that you have sins that are unknown.
We may not be AWARE of how extensively we have transgressed the law of God. But we can confess that we surely need the complete covering of His redeeming blood.
