While I don't really give a ferret's testicles about pro football (do I have to say 'American football' now that we're Cup contenders???) - IF I were to support any NFL team I suppose it would have to be the 'Boys or my family would disown me. Not that there's much riches to be had but I'm close with my clan. =s

GB, imma need some tequila STAT! I can run a tab right? HA!!

Hey, TLJ. Yes, you may run anything lawful you'd like except over other pub patrons

or away. Curious as to which three teams your closely knit family clan might choose.

Does this mean that every team participating has a roughly equal chance of winning?

Over the long haul, sort of 'yes'. Any given season, 'no'. Many surprises occur short term, though, because of the interesting dynamic of cycles before they become discernible trends. Drafts matter. Injuries factor. Players age. Stuff happens.

Edit: Andy Beyer's thoroughbred racing advice, "Pick the horse that looks almost good enough to win" (fit, in the moment today).

Thank you. Quite fascinating. Seems to boil down to inept play calling in the the clinch,

lack of inspired leadership/consistent team motivation and SD's corner office culture.

Norv Turner was an amazing coordinator for the Cowboys who has not really gelled as a head coach. His play calling in tight spots reminds me of Marty Schottenheimer. He goes conservative/whacky, interchangeably, but unpredictably. Guts is not the issue. He just does not seem to know how to win a won game. This is his second stint as head coach and can't seem to win the big games at all.

Everyone loves the safe picks (with the exception of the OP). Well not this cowboy!

1. New York Jets
2. Green Bay Packers
3. Baltimore Ravens

I don't think New orleans will repeat next year. They've already lost key defensive players and O-line guys in free agency plus their RB situation is still not good. One player does not a dynasty make.

Indy has choked every single year but one when another team choked better than them.

I'd say Dallas has just as good a chance to win as NO and Indy! That's right - I said it!
