Do you want to argue Hawaii vs. Ohio State or WAC versus Big 10 or Hawaii vs. Big 10 or Ohio State vs. WAC? Make up your mind.
FACT #1
Strength of Schedule:
Ohio State #44
Hawaii #118
I've always been taught the lower the number, the higher the ranking, maybe I'm wrong.
FACT #2
Ohio St. - Beat 5 teams with winning records
Hawaii - ...[text shortened]... need to get one of those monitors that allows you can read braille.
I'm done.

Let's see; I've already addressed "FACTS" 1, 2, 3, and 4. As to #5, Illinois is rated #21 but they went to Columbus and beat OSU. As to #6, who cares what happened in 2000; we're talking about NOW. And as to #7, OSU is very lucky that there are a lot of people who "think" like you.
As to #5, what does Illinois have to do with anything? You brought up the Sagarin ratings, I just thought I'd expand upon that. You're the one that kept talking about Hawaii's big games from last year. Figured I'd do a comparative from the year 2000-present.
You can argure just about any of the top 8 or so teams into or more easily, out of the BCS Championship game this season. Still doesn't mean a 12-0 Hawaii team is better than a 1 loss Ohio State team. Sure, they might catch them here and there, but over a 10 game stretch I'd put my money on OSU to win 80% of the time.
OK, I'm really done now. Did you know people actually play chess on this site, who'd of thunk that?

You say:
OSU is rated #2 in the Sagarin Ratings;
Hawaii is rated #16 in the Sagarin Ratings,
Therefore, Hawaii couldn't beat OSU.
I say:
OSU is rated #2 in the Sagarin Ratings,
Illinois is rated #21 in the Sagarin Ratings,
Illinois beat OSU (in Columbus)
Therefore, your argument above is invalid as a team rated lower than Hawaii has already defeated OSU.
Got it?
Sure and Pitt would have beat Utah 8 out of the next 9 games in 2004 and Oklahoma would have beat Boise 8 out of the next nine games last year. These ridiculous claims are tedious.
Originally posted by no1marauderNO, your ridiculous attempts at logic are tedious. You twist the numbers to sway with how you want the arguement to go. You really do seem to have an inability to grasp reality. But you can continue to be Don Quiote and yell at those windmills if you like, just please don't be offended when we all choose to ignore your rants.

How are these numbers: 12-0.
The top rated high school team in the state of Texas is 13-0. How many college teams would they beat? How many could they beat once if the circumstances were perfect? How many would they never stand a chance against?
Now substitute Hawaii for the High School team. They could beat any college team given the perfect circumstance...once, not consistently. They would get blown off the field by most of the big time programs.
Originally posted by shortcircuitSure, that's why the "big time" programs refused to play them this year!

(1) It is funny that Michigan State is a big time program when all you do is bash the big ten
(2) Hawaii still played no one. If West Virginia and Arkansas and teams like that can get people to play them than surely Hawaii with its beatiful beaches could get teams to come to them.
but i am sure hawaii is proud to have you champion their cause.
