Milan is out, no more surprises today...
Prediction for tomorrow:
Porto 3 - Schalke 04 - 1
Real 2 - Roma - 0
Chelsea 2 - Olympiakos - 0
Inter 1 - Liverpool - 0
Otherwise the expected results.
Tomorrow will se the end of Inter and Roma. Goodbye Italia and your boring football. Only thing sad about it is 4 English teams. They can play each other in the PL, so the CL will be only international games.
EDIT: Predictions:
Porto - Schalke 1-0
Real Madrid - Roma 1-0
Chelsea - Olympiakos 4-1
Inter - Liverpool 1-0 or 1-1

Looks like 4-5-1 tonight. At home. FACT! 😉
Fairly weak side to be putting out. I have no doubts about Carrick or Anderson (who will be more effective without Scholes: they're very similar, and if one of them is getting on the ball and starting play, then the other isn't in the game). I'm also not sure Nani is ready for this stage of the Champions L see United scoring 2. Possibly a third on the break late on as Lyon push on.
2-1.
D
Maybe 4-5-1 is ok for away games, personally though I think we should play Tevez and Rooney home and away.
Thats when we are most dangerous.
We need away goals.
Anyway, Arsenal winning is a great result for us.
Also Messi being out for the season weakens Barcelona.
I can really see Arsenal falling away in the league now with such a weak squad.
This could be the start of a double treble?
AC Milan are out, yipee.
We've already beaten Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool this season.
I think if we got any of those teams in the 1/4 finals we would dominate the games.
If we don't get an English side, wouldn't mind getting Madrid, we owe them a beating.
Or Porto, it would give Sir Alex a chance to check the form of Lopez or Quaresma, see if they are worth signing up in the summer.

I doubt Quaresma or Lopez would be good buys for United given that you have so many good players up front. Bosingwa could be an interesting buy. If Ferguson manages to get him to regularly play up to his potential he could become an impressive right back. He's quite irregular, though (as most of our team this year).
Originally posted by serigadoSchalke is a club in serious trouble. The coach is about to be fired, which he will be after Porto wins on aggregate. And there's unrest inside the squad already. Besides Porto is a better team when attacking, so hopefully that's all we'll see tonight.
hm.. aren't you fcp supporter? 2-1 and fcp is gone...
Originally posted by PalynkaWe have been quite heavily linked with Bosingwa and we will definately buy a RB in the summer.

I think Quaresma is a great player from what I've seen.
I'm starting to think United may sell Ronaldo for a huge fee in the summer and bring in 3 big names.
Don't know much about Lopez really other than he has scored lots of goals this season. United need a replacement for Saha, he's always injured.
It's a crazy CL this year with Bayern Munich, Madrid and AC Milan out.
Inter and Barcelona losing form.
Anything could happen, going to be a reallty interesting draw for the 1/4 finals.

We played well, but luck just wasn't on our side tonight. Even with 10 men we kept piling up the pressure, but ultimately we just weren't as good penalty takers as them.
Oh well...

Porto deserved the win, no doubts.
The red card was exaggerated, but Helton should have been shown the red card. And there seems to have been a penalty too.
Referee apart, Porto played a lot better, even with 10 men. At least you have the portuguese championship in your hand.
Well... there's only the Cup to decide. Luckily this year we have semi-finals with four great teams.
Originally posted by Rooney Once a BlueThere is no way United should sell Ronaldo for anything less than £90m. He is a great player that you don't value until you notice how different and less dynamic United will be without him
