one of the best Qb's ever to play the game against one of the better defences ever.yeah it will be a classic
In yards allowed, they ranked 5th this year - 11th against the Pass and 6th against the Run. They did lead the league in takeaways. However, the extreme weakness of their schedule must be factored in: their opponents had a record of 110-146 and the Bears played only three teams with winning records. And one must also consider that they played in the NFC, a far weaker conference that got killed in interconference games against the AFC.
And the Bear defense slumped badly down the stretch.
I would rate this Bear defense as possibly in the top 10 in the league, but no higher.

Well prepare to anger your friends and break all your possessions 😀
The Bears got the things I said would give them a chance to win - a Hester return and three turnovers - and still lost by 12. Rex was absolutely terrible when the game was on the line and the vaunted Bear defense gave up a ton of yards. Still, the Bear D didn't play awful; they did stiffen up in the red zone and held the Colt offense to 2 TDs. But the Colt defense again came up big in the playoffs.
