Originally posted by Crowleyi have a feeling england will beat the windies... tbh i really they do as well. i see the match of the team that come third in that group so in india and england beat the windies it'll be england. hopefully. then they can lose.
So, any English have anything to say? The England team are probably not going to advance to the quarter finals. Not on current form at least.
It's weird - they don't look a bad team on paper, but they have looked like losing every single pool game so far.
The Netherlands got close to beating them, India should have beaten them if they were just awake in ...[text shortened]... g this Windies side and Bangladesh still has The Netherlands game ahead, so England must win.

I think it's a little disingenuous to suggest India should have won; at one stage it should have been a cakewalk for England, before the ability for repeated mid-order batting collapse was rediscovered.
If England were going to get anywhere in this tournament, I think the chances probably disappeared with Broads injury - don't think we will now be in a position to drop Anderson, who has been woeful. Quarter-final loss after beating the Windies comfortably on Thursday.

The Oz team looks MUCH better with him in there.
He works so well batting down the order and can shepherd the tail if needs be. I so wish South Africa will use Kallis in the same way.
But dont tell them that, they may just actually win if they were to go there...

Or it starts pouring down in Chennai today. Not likely, but it would suffice.

As for your 515 skeety, i cannot acquiesce, for I have many persons with whom i like to engage with for discussion, plus i will soon be subbed up and joining tournaments to claim you anyway! It therfore holds no lustre for me. New Zealand wont touch Sri Lanka, and your hasty words will make you sowwy!
Bet you 515 we beat Sri Lanka, [b]robbie

Besides, with your sub 1800 TER, anything I enter is clearly over your punch weight, woussey.
