@Earl-of-Trumps
I liked the Lakers, but later I am sure. I liked the Lakers when Kurt Rambus and company took the court. That dude had the greatest glasses!
Yeah I know, I am a racist because I jokingly mentioned the one white dude.
@eladar saidSo would it be a bigger deal if they were not so good?
@Earl-of-Trumps
The US women's team has won this event 4 out of 8 times it has been held. I am not sure why people believe it is such a big deal that the US won.
@eladar saidThe Lakers are more popular than the Celtics by far. That is because they have more vibrant and loud fans that appreciate basketball and their team, more.

And I remember why they got Rambus. The year before they drafted him, the Celtics' big man, Kevin McHale got real roughhouse under the boards and the flay baby Lakers realized they had no one to play against McHale *on that level*. And that was in the playoffs and I think that is one time the Celtics won it.
Ya, His glasses looked like they had coke bottle lenses lol
@wolfgang59 saidNo, if they represented a country that has not won it all half the time.
So would it be a bigger deal if they were not so good?

@earl-of-trumps saidI grew up between LA and Palm Springs so they were my local team. But now I really do not care about any sports.

Just wondering why anyone would care about women's sports. It is a second rate level of play. As far as most actual Americans are concerned, a second rate sport.
@eladar saidSo not as good.

@eladar saidFootball (soccer) is THE world sport.

So you are probably in the minority thinking it is second rate.
What would be first-rate?
Baseball played by a handful of countries?
American Football played by ... America?
@wolfgang59 saidHockey played by most Countries, ok so England doesn't have much of a team yet!!! 🙂

@very-rusty saidThe UK try at Ice hockey, we have our own league, mostly made up of players not good enough or too old to play in the NHL or top European leagues but it's still entertaining. Have a few local players and they have a shot at making the next Olympics for the first time.

Not sure I agree with that list, pretty sure more people watch the Superbowl than anything volleyball or table tennis has to offer, a list on the amount of people play each sport is a different matter.
@wolfgang59 saidI said in the US moron. Most countries are too poor to support a US football culture. All you need for soccer is a ball, so very popular among the second rate.

@trev33 saidI put the place down where I got the info on it, I have no idea if it is correct. Last time it turned out the site I got info off of wasn't correct, and was of course promply corrected by another poster. I don't really follow soccer that closely if I had probably would have noticed the info wasn't correct.

@eladar saidNo you didn't.
I said in the US moron.
This is why grammar and syntax are so important.
