Give some credit to the Injuns... they score runs at will. I'm certainly not a Cleveland fan, but you gotta admit to how well they're hitting right now.
The Reds are good, let them play some more with the Lastros to get their confidence back!

I can't see all that continuing. But the division is weak and they've built themselves a nice cushion, so they seem to have a good shot at the playoffs (still very early though).

The long National nightmare is over; the Reds beat the Phillies 6-3 on Jay Bruce's 9th inning 3 run 2B to snap their 6 game losing streak.
Two games left with the Phils; they're pitching two guys named Halladay and Lee. Anybody ever heard of them?
Originally posted by no1marauderThe Reds snap a six game losing streak while the M's snap a six game winning streak... so I guess the national nightmare IS over.... I mean who wants to see the M's win like that? Last time they won a bunch of games (116) they biffed it big time in the playoffs.

The wager per game could be as small as $5 to save your wallet, if you like.

Come on Reds, end of the 11th, you're not going to get many more chances to take this series!
The Reds simply are not interested in winning right now. You see, they realize that they have the superior talent in the National League, so they will let these lesser teams gain ground in the standings thinking they have a shot at going to the World Series but in the end know they will pull it out just to provide drama and interest.
An example of this lack of interest in winning right now can be seen by Reds second baseman Phillips as he got picked of second base in the 11th inning because he was too busy chatting with the Phillies short stop. Then the Reds could not get a hit off a position player who came on in the 19th inning to pitch. In fact had he not hit one of the batters he would have retired the side!!
Make no mistake, my mighty Reds are simply playing possum. Its just a ruse to make you think that a team like the Phillies who spend a gazillian manillean dollars on their team has a better chance to go to the World Series simply because they try to buy their way to a World Series. No doubt, you have fallen for this ruse. All I can say is, "Sucker!!"

An ex ...[text shortened]... way to a World Series. No doubt, you have fallen for this ruse. All I can say is, "Sucker!!"
Meanwhile, the Fish blew the 9th, but won the game on a play at the plate... shear power knocking Buster Posey outta the way in the top of the 12th... World Champion Giants who had won 5 in a row ran into the Marlins, and are looking at a sweep by the Marlins at home.
So, what is the scoop on this back up second baseman who got the win for the Phillies
last night against the Reds? He mowed through the heart of their order. LOL
The guy has never pitched in a game since high school. Impressive!!!!
Maybe the Phillies should rest Cliff Lee and give the catcher a shot on the hill tonight.
