I hope you're not a gambling man, cos by this evidence, you'd lose a lot of money.
My opinion of Terry is that he is probably the best centre half in the world. I like the way you put words into my mouth and then criticise me for your own imaginings. Quite clever.
You're right though... Chelsea aren't in a slump just because of Terry. They're in his services.
I think I'll stick with Palonka. It's got a nice ring to it.

All his signings are hard-working players, who don't bother to do tricks for the audience. The character of its players are their greatest asset. It's mind-boggling how biased you are that you're unable to see that.
But for a long time that it's not surprising coming from the general football knowledge that exists in this forum.

Edit - Any football related comments, mmm? No?
"the special needs one" couldn't get pass Wycombe with a 11 that would walk into just about any other team.
Care to comment on his motivational/managerial skills now? 😲😲😲

Yes, Mourinho is great at motivating his players...
"RICARDO CARVALHO will be fined Pounds 100,000 for today's outspoken attack on Jose Mourinho, Standard Sport can reveal.
Carvalho said: "I want to know why I didn't play. How can I explain when I don't understand it? I cannot understand. Sincerely, I gave a lot of thought and time to myself but cannot find a valid explanation.
It's totally incomprehensible what's happening to me.
"I don't understand why Mourinho said I have to wait for another opportunity to play this season. I don't understand the reason he put me in a group of players that included Robert Huth, Joe Cole and Tiago."
Great workman's mentality - "How can I be classed with those rejects Huth, Cole and Tiago?" LOL.
How about the brat, Obi Mikel? Fined 3 times for being late? Another great worker indeed. What kind of a manager can't even motivate his players to turn up to "work" which entails kicking a ball about.
I haven't seen many Manchester United players storm down the tunnel after being subbed.
But then, as you say, football can be the cause of the worse myopia. You may want to look to your own blinkered view of Mourinho, before playing the superior football knowledge card. 🙄

Originally posted by RagnorakWhat does Ronaldo have to do with anything? Ronaldo can become of the 5 top players in the world if he keeps progressing like this. He's got both the skill and the character (as proven by his performances under fire), but that has got nothing to do with the fact that Chelsea's players greatest strength is their character and work-rate.

That Carvalho wanted to play more hardly sounds like a motivational problem, as for his public statements he was fined and hasn't left the club or said a word ever since. Problem solved. Gallas would have been a more correct example, as he left to prove his point. But hey, that happens with everyone, Man U had bigger problems with Ruud and they lasted longer than the Chelsea ones. No manager in any team can stay immune from such problems and it's absurd to suggest so.
I've just been reading the Rags v Palys debate.... and whilst both of you write intelligently (on occasions!) and put your cases forward pretty well, as a neutral I feel I must 'side' with Rags on this one.
Where indeed was the work ethic when mighty Wycombe entertained the nation?
The unrest with Carvalho.... not good. Especially from a player who in my opinion is mediocre at best.
...and Mourinho's narcissism is getting a tad tiresome.
You're just too defensive Palynka.... open your eyes a little wider.

Edit2: Carvalho mediocre? You can't be serious.
