I live in the 1930's as much as I am able.

tins of food opened with a mechanical can opener.

a coffee pot with a glass top that percolates the brew.

when life is simple it is better.

just an old flip phone. I do not scroll all day on a smart phone like most do.

I read books.

remember books ?

I can go along with some of this:

A simple life has a number of advantages.

Reading books is a very good idea. Hard and paperback books have a number of advantages over the computerized versions.

I drink tea, so can't comment on your choice of coffee brewing.

The 1930's?? A significant percentage of people were living on the streets or their cars during the 1930's. The only people making any significant money were bootleggers and bank robbers.

BTW - Why did you remove so many of your recent posts here?

I also try to live in the old way.

Now I have scurvy and tuberculosis, I am half blind for reading with a candle, and I had to eat my horse in order to survive the famine.

But I feel very trad and cool. Yay.
