I didnt notice the time in phatboys games - I looked at the positions and thought he would probably win but it was going to take quite a long time.

Alices Dad is almost certain to win his group too - unless he gets banned or dies before the last games finish.

That is rather ironic though I don't know if I'm "probable". I split with T-Chex and still have some tough games being played.

Will the players who lost to Stephane get the results reversed? It seems kinda unfair that because some played their games faster and lost to a cheat they are punished while those of us who still had pending games against Stephane will get wins (I was quite close to resigning one of our games). That's a 12 point swing.

Last year, a few section winners got banned and the player finishing second advanced.

Yes, this happened to me in the first round of this tournament, as well. (That is, I advanced as 2nd-place finisher when the 1st place player was banned.)

Looks like the system for gettng rid of cheats is working after all.

So, if South Sniper and Joester end up tying in group 9, and Tchex and no1 end up tying in group 1 (very possible), then we are looking at a MASSIVE final group of 14 players! I really don't envy the gameload you lucky finalists are going to have in another couple months...

Group 8 is still a bit messy, and Korch only needs to drop a half point in one of his remaining games to tie for that group - there is a chance we might see even more finalists.
