Is it good play or well set up by their leader

Spinnning Stars (not surprisingly) have 11 People in that category!

honus has achieved more than 1000 games for (at least) two clans!

Best Player by wins is Bobla… he should head the list.

Then a win rate of 57% (yours9 or 58% Bobal's smells of sandbagging.

Maybe McTayto had a better quota and he was banned form the Clans for sandbagging as the grapevine had it.

We really don't care about the % part just that all 5 are in the top 15 wins for their clans probably upsets many of you who are not! 😉 😛

Be careful when you start making accusations at an 18 year old Member of Sandbagging. You best have FACTS to back up your statement. The player has played many game over those years, in clans, club, and who knows how many private games!

So sad, for all you jealous people! 😉

Do you dispute the fact that he was indeed sandbagging and making it look quite obvious?

One post on all your Rusty:

* I said it "smells of snadbagging" and it does. D4V posted this statistics to Show off About his Winning quota thus he focuses on the Point and I think one might ask…

* Of Course I have played 16991 games on the site, I don't know where your numbers come from. I have played the quoted games for the Crazy Aquarists alone

* I didn't calim to have made a complete list (to be fair neither has D4V in fact)

* I did a careful fomrulation of the evident sandbagging by McTayto. But you like it blunt. My equally carefull formulation About the Metallica Players seemd to have been to blunt for you.

You could have added lemondrop yourself:

Lemondrop 5136 2716 704 1716 52.9 33.4

And I don't understand your last Question could you rephrase please?

I don't understand what snadbagging is? Can you explain that one?

I've also played thousands of games.

All we were talking about people who have played games in one clan. Lemondrop didn't add vise's other clan which he won a very high percentage of in with the best Clan on the Site Metallica.

I believe you're truely jealous, there has been talk of sandbagging for years, have you been able to prove any of it? NO!!!

In order to make accusations you have to have stats to back it up, Why has this player not been accused of sandbagging in the last 18 years? I've never seen anyone accuse him of it but YOU!

Your winning percentage is very high also, does that make you a sandbagger?

Is it good play or well set up by their leader
Every player strives to win more than they lose.
If they succeed, they will be above 50%. So......your point ?

As to your 2nd question, I’d be happy to answer that.
My answer ? A little bit of both.
A good analogy are golf’s Ryder Cup and Presidents Cup.
In 2019 at Presidents Cup, Tiger Woods was the captain of the US team and he made up his player list to match up against Ernie Els’ list.
Tiger did a good job. His team won.

In clan play, I negotiate with my counterparts set up clan challenges.
The matchups are reflective of the negotiations of both leaders.
The game results are the outcome of the performance of each player in the matchups.
If there is something you’d like to add, feel free to do so.

Oh dear. Is this starting up again ?
The list was intended to celebrate those players who have played a lot of chess on this site and in particular, those who have played a lot of clan games during their time here.
Yes, there are a lot of players who support the clan feature, rather than try to tear it down.

I suppose one could have started a post that centered on total clan games played, or clan games drawn or lost.
But it is human nature to celebrate wins.
Major League Baseball celebrates when a pitcher reaches 500 wins in his career, rather than losses.

Unfortunately, accusations of sandbagging have crept into a fairly harmless thread.

I will vigorously defend Bobla45, and any other player in my clan.
He is a solid player who plays with integrity against solid opponents. And his rating variance is fairly consistent with mine.
So you can just level those accusations against me.

I have been a clan leader for about 16 months now.
And I can say that I have seen many matchups where the opponents of my players were routinely more than 300 points below their personal best ratings.

Clan challenges are about clan leaders doing their homework.
If a clan leader doesn’t do their homework, don’t penalize a clan leader who does.

McTayto who ???

Yes.
I think the threshold for recognition is 300 wins.
Good catch.
