how about the way society helps alcoholics?
ummmm, is society wrong to rely on the systems in place. does this block their conscience from asking themselves to help these people?
To make an analogy, if Ted Bundy would have went to classes, jail, and rehibilation (and not put to death), he would have killed again. People will do what they want to do and you can't stop that.

I would call myself a reasonably heavy drinker, of lager, never spirits. I also use hard drugs sometimes. But hardly ever marijuana. Just cant handle it. The paranoia and general uncomfortable feeling I get is horrible, and I know of countless other people who feel the same.

I drink heavily and I used to smoke heavily. Smoking makes
me paranoid. Now I drink so that I can sleep at night.
Only the more I drink the further away a warm gf in a house that
I own seems to get. It's like that. It's a fight but it's ill defined...

It should be far cheaper.
Another thing that's wrong with it is that the effects are less pleasant than marijuana and it gives you a headache if you drink too much of it.
One last thing is that if you drink 12 pints of beer, the chances of hot-love-makin' are minimalized. Unless you're Scottish.
