I will not debate what you say, you may be right, but I would point out that that is what the left does. Fear climate change, fear the virus, "we" will save "you", just trust us.
And might I add, divide and conquer, Highlight as many minorities as possible, call as many as possible "victims" and then point out that everyone " fears " them.

You see why i use simple analogies, letting the story speak for itself. And i attemp entertainment so Russ wont kick me off.

Reagan inherited a deficit of 70 billion and increased it to 175 billion. Bush 41 took it up even higher to 290 billion. Clinton got it to zero. Bush 43 started his presidency with a budget surplus and left office with 1.2 trillion in deficit spending. Obama halved it to 600 billion. Trump got it back to a trillion.
It's Bush 43 and Trump who were sending out the checks, some even had a presidential signature on it. Are they libs? You seem to imply incorrectly that it's a lib thing.

You seem to admit in this post that Left and Right peddle in fear. If that's the case, which I agree with, then fear is clearly not a defining characteristic of the Left. It's just a politics thing.
Don't trust politicians. They don't want to trim fat at the Pentagon because it'll make them look weak. They only want to raise funding for the military, so they should find a way to pay for it.

The juxtaposition of the entire GDP of North Korea (not the amount of money they spend on weapons) vs. the US military budget seems to be a strong argument that money isn't fixing his irrational fear.

'Twas simply a point of comparison. I think the human rights issue is not relevant to the point that enormous sums of money are wasted on irrational fear.
