So it's hardly surprising that Marx should sometimes be wrong about predicting the future.
One can say the same thing about Isaac Newton.
Probably the most famous and brilliant physicist of all time.
But he didn't foresee relativity (special and general), quantum and string theory.
If he was around in the hysterical political climate today, he would be right there with Anthony Fauci being called a liar by the hysterical GOP sychophants like Jim Jordan, Rand Paul and the Bible thumping evangelicals who still cling to their creationism fairy tales. đ

@averagejoe1 saidSo.....when you go to your local supermarket, buy a nice ribeye steak, go home, toss it on a barbeque, then eat it, and wash it down with a nice cold beer which you also bought at the same supermarket, what category would that place you under ???
But please seeMGM post above, about staying on narrow path. This thread, about inflation, certainly begs a very clear question, which I just asked of you. Societies can have inflation, or deflation, or misery, or, prosper.
So my question is quite germane, and to honor MGM request, can you not say if a country would prosper more (its citizens, the ones on all ends of ...[text shortened]... eat what you kill, and under Marxism, you eat what someone else kills. Cool idiom, don't you think?
Btw, I'm not creating an analogy, I'm just using yours. đ
@mghrn55 saidAssuming i am in, as your statement suggests, an atmosphere, or society, of freedom, i would say that i am in a category of Americans who love cooking out with steaks on the grill! đĨŠđĨŠI love this country.

One thing, it is a grill, not a barbecue......barbecue is the meat. They can’t both be barbecue. That’s like saying one is ‘done’ cooking a turkey, when in fact, he is ‘through cooking the turkey. It is the turkey that is done. Cant be that they are both done. Done is One of the most misused words in our society.

@averagejoe1 saidHey, Sonhouse , I never got a response back on this, where I try to explain that corporations or entities that hire people do NOT 'take what someone else produces'. You can see the gist of this post from Marauder on bottom of page 4. Tell us if you agree with me, or if in fact a corp takes what someone else produces. Sometimes in the forum the phrase 'backs of others' pops up in these types of discussions. Like, the worker does not get paid for his work.
Given, about the 90%. But you said above that someone (else) takes what I produce. Do you mean that the guy I work for, for wages, takes what I produce? How can he 'Take' something from someone who does not own it? It is already his stuff, which I was paid to modify for consumption by his customers. And he does not 'take' my labor", since he paid, and I received, money ...[text shortened]... with all the workers. You marxist, you. What else can you be saying? In plain english, that is! đ
Anyway, your thoughts?
