OK,I like this discussion. First, we have to stipulate that I said 'landlord hires contractor to build the (subject) property", to keep it simple, so Wolf would understand. But, You interject that landlord purchases housing. (acquires buildings in another way). We might lose Wolf here, but here is the deal......It makes no difference how the landlord owns the property. ...[text shortened]... ial about it.
Don't get '...removing chunks of supply from the balance'.

The exception to this is the commercial property market which I believe is best left to property developers and hedge fund venture capital.

I think private ownership of residential rental property should be banned.
But while it remains legal I choose to maximise my return on investment.
Apart from pensions, everything we have is in property.
And yes, I agree with Kev, we make too much, risk free, easy money.

But while it remains legal I choose to maximise my return on investment.
Apart from pensions, everything we have is in property.
And yes, I agree with Kev, we make too much, risk free, easy money.
