I don't doubt that 30% of German teenagers don't know about the holocaust. The thing is, you could do a survery on any NUMBER of things and discover that 30% of teenagers don't know about it. Teenagers are suprisingly good at not knowing about things.

And I bet that 30% of teenagers in America don't know about some important things in your history - like Pearl Harbour, or the Gettysburg address, or...

Why not? At least when I get banned there's no monetary loss. I guess in your mind its alright when someone from the US gets banned and the other poster (who by the way) used worse language than I did gets a free pass. If I'm to banned for using profanity then so be it. I'll do my pennance no problem. It's when the other person who used profanity gets a free pass that ticks me off. It's usually someone who isn't from the US that gets a free ride.

In all seriousness I am always a little surprised that this site allows links to other sites to be posted, especially when those links are the entire content of the post. Just seems awfully liberal to allow the posting of links that may divert the attention of users away from the site. Like a store owner posting an ad for a rival in his window.

I understand that, but if I was running an internet site that depended upon subscriptions and advertising for revenue I wouldn't like anyone posting any links that possibly sent those on my site flitting off to another site. I assume every for-profit site wants as many people actively using that site for as long as possible. That certainly must be what the advertisers want, and must have something to do with the advertising rates that can be charged.
