@mott-the-hoople saidActually in NY, he'd be removed if impeached by the Assembly and only reinstated if not convicted by the State Senate.
removed ONLY if he is found guilty. the women are probably as guilty as he is

@mott-the-hoople saidCare to elaborate on the last remark ?

Or are you sticking to being a troll ?
An incompetent one at that.

@suzianne saidDoes the fact that NY had the second-highest per-capita death toll of any state possibly take some of the gloss off of his COVID performance? Or is having daily pressers the only thing that counts?
I, too, support the impeachment if he doesn't resign, which I doubt he'll do. I thought he did an exemplary job with the coronavirus management for NY, far more so than the ex-president. But after the James report, the handwriting is on the wall, and I don't expect him to win another election, much less survive an impeachment. At least he'll be removed as soon as the impeachment is filed, so the 11 women won't have to wait for justice.

@joe-shmo saidMurdering people is acceptable to the parasitic elites. It is trying to get laid that is a crime. Funny how women can flirt and it isn't harassment. If a man flirts he is a creep, unless he is married. Bill Clinton was able to keep his job because he actually had sexual relations with Monica.
IMO This was just a distraction and way out of attornment for his actual crimes of murdering nursing home patients by the THOUSANDS with his wonderful COVID policies early on in the plandemic.
Didn't this guy just get an Emmy?
Now the dem machine is all on board for him to turn in his resignation. The tactics employed here are so thinly veiled. Crap political theater at its best...
Single guys that flirt are obviously more creepy than married men who get their willy licked. They can be forgiven.

@sh76 saidInteresting how you can find dubious weather related excuses for DeSantis' catastrophic current performance but ignore the salient fact that New York was hit hardest in the earliest phase of the pandemic because of its status as a worldwide entry point.

You used to know that, but it seems to have conveniently slipped your mind.

@no1marauder saidWhat do you think was wrong with DeSantis' performance?

When Michigan had the highest covid rate in the country were you equally as critical of Whitmer's performance? She obviously did something wrong by your logic.
@no1marauder saidI had heard that according to state law, NY state elected officials cannot hold office while the impeachment is proceeding, so he'd have to let the lieutenant governor take over at least until a verdict is reached. Is this not true?
Actually in NY, he'd be removed if impeached by the Assembly and only reinstated if not convicted by the State Senate.
@suzianne saidActually, No1, I just reread it and Cuomo must temporarily step down only while the conviction trial is underway in the Senate. This comes after the vote to impeach.

So your post is 100% correct.
@no1marauder saidYes, he has an excuse. Even with all the awesome excuses in the world, teams that finish in second to last place rarely get parades through the Canyon of Heroes.

@no1marauder saidIf the James report is to be believed, in Cuomoworld, everything is a game.
This isn't a game, however.
@sh76 saidGiuliani got a lot of accolades when the economy of New York was destroyed on 9/11. He wasn't blamed because he had an excuse and he seems to be getting lots of parades in MAGA-land.

In New York City, the events of September 11, 2001, resulted in the deaths of 2,699 workers. In addition to the human, political, security, and social implications of the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center, there were profound impacts on New York City’s economy, its labor market dynamics, and individual businesses.
In New York City as a whole, the attack caused an additional loss of about 143,000 jobs per month over a three-month period beyond the trend in job losses already occurring as a result of the economic recession of 2001.
Massive destruction of prime real estate, Wall Street shut down for a week, I can’t imagine parts of the city weren’t shut down for long periods, massive government intervention...
