Donald Trump has promised to deport millions - let's say 20 million people - from the US for being here illegally.
His term runs for 4 years x 365 days x 5/7 -40 holidays over 4 years (gov't workers don't work weekends and holidays). Call it 1000 days.
So he needs to work at 20M/1000 = 20,000 deportations per day from the moment he takes office.
Currently we average around 4,600 deportations per day:
- 60% returns (frequently voluntary) 2,760
- 40% removals (court ordered) 1,840
So, assuming people fight these expulsions (i.e. removals), the deportation system has to be expanded to TEN times the current capacity (20,000 vs 1,840) with judges, courts, etc. Plus resources are needed to find these people and round them up.
All for mowing your lawn and shingling your house.
Question: You voted for this. Is that REALLY where you want your tax dollars to go?
@spruce112358 saidIf he really starts the process many thousands will leave voluntarily.

@YEAH-BOY saidJust an opinion like all others around here. Some people rather avoid the embarrassment of deportation and the stigma with their name going on a barred entry list. Or maybe you are not that type. Probably you would wait to be kicked out.
No they won't. Where did you come up with this stupid thought?

@Rajk999 saidMaybe... but he would have to offer them something. Like s fast track to come back legally.

@spruce112358 saidWe have no duty to offer them anything.. They are like the girl on Jan 6 who was shot and killed.....she should not have been there, the immigrants should not be here.

@AverageJoe1 saidThen they will fight in court.

Doesn't matter - just will take longer.
@spruce112358 saidOffer them something? Thats the wrong attitude when dealing with lawbreakers. Boot them out.

I think if a person has been here long enough and has a job, and has not gotten into trouble, then he's Ok;
A friend said to me that it will cost $8 Billion per million people to expel.
I said, fine. The same million people cost $100K per person to support them.
That creates a cost of $100 Billion per million people, which beats the hell out of $8 B
choose your poison and thank the democrats
@spruce112358 saidSimple: just dispatch the army and the national guard to round up everyone whose last name is Gomez, Gonzalez, or Hernandez, or whose first name is Maria or Jesus.

They can appeal later, to the US Embassy in Mexico City, if it turns out a few were legit after all.
Fixed, Trump style.
@Earl-of-Trumps saidThats if. Now if not, and they just came across the border in the last 3 yrs and living off the state, what then? How much does it cost to send them back to Mexico, for example?

People with money often choose to do things the expensive way for whatever reason. In the US the cost of executing a deathrow criminal is in the thousands of $$$ while in a poor country is the cost of a bullet.
@spruce112358 saidOffer their kids lollipops, if they go voluntarily.
