That is rich. And your greatness derives from which of your mighty achievements? Playing chess and writing non-sense in the forums?

Your mighty strength of being seems to come to you with no effort. How fitting.

What history books have you been reading? It was the very strength of our military under Reagan that helped topple the Reds. (Carter was a great president?....oh, please!!!!) I am through trying to reason with you brain-washed idiots.
The USSR was already on a trajectory to implode by 1980, and subsequent US military spending had virtually nothing to do with the breakup of the Soviet Union. Truman and Marshall had the broader strategy right from the beginning. For another thing, if Reagan's huge military spending was necessary to break up the Soviet Union as you claim, then why did Jesse Helms threaten President Clinton's life when Clinton reduced military spending in 1993-4, AFTER the breakup of the Soviet Union?

Yes, Carter was a pretty decent president. He was on track to fix the economy, just not in time to win the election against the con artist Reagan. President Clinton learned from what happened to Carter with Reagan's credit jumping of Carter's fixing the economy, which is one of the reasons that the Clinton administration started fixing the economy right away in 1993.

Carter was also on the right track with his work on alternative energy programmes, which that idiot Reagan tossed out after he was elected.

Let me guess. You are a 23 year old college student.

You can't have been alive and think carter was anything but a fool.

Rather than getting ad hominem in typical Republican style, would you like to actually provide some specifics of what policies of Carter's you take issue with?
