@divegeester saidYou really should link your sources.
Good point, the EU countries are indeed such a good place to live. One wonders why their citizens would be risking their lives to reach this awful UK.
@divegeester saidNo I’m suggesting they went through France because that’s the shortest path across water to England.
I’m not sure what you mean; are you suggesting these EU citizens are attacking the UK?
You seem to be playing word games here.

@athousandyoung saidYour post asserting that UK people of wealth choose to live in EU countries is what I’m replying to.
You really should link your sources.
@athousandyoung saidWhy would EU citizens want to come through France and risk their lives in the Channel to reach the UK?
No I’m suggesting they went through France because that’s the shortest path across water to England.

@divegeester saidI’m starting to suspect that this huge wave of Frenchmen you claim are dying in the English Channel don’t actually exist.

@athousandyoung saidWhat “Frenchmen”?

What “Frenchmen”?
ATY:
“EU citizens”? I thought these were refugees from Africa and Ukraine.
Dive:
No, I believe they are coming from France, the EU.

Yes these EU citizens are coming across the English Channel from France.

@athousandyoung saidNo.
The “EU citizens coming from France” are what I’m referring to.
I said “Maybe France is a better place to settle than the UK then. Or maybe Spain, or maybe Italy, or maybe Germany?”
And you replied
“That’s probably why so many wealthy Brits live in Spain.”
That’s what you referred to.
@vivify saidYou forgot to mention the parlous state of the health service. My niece (a junior doctor) is going on strike and picketing her hospital today, in desperation at the conditions under which she has to work. Quite aside from trying to mend peoples' bodies, there's a huge increase in people suffering from mental health issues; England (and possibly Britain) is an unhappy nation. EU citizens are probably better off staying in the EU.
Hmm, teachers all across the country on strike, businesses and citizens suffering because of Brexit, people can't afford heating, the value of the pound reached historic lows just a few months ago, 3 PMs in only 4 months, pretty much every PM since Thatcher resigned....

@athousandyoung saidReally?
If they’re from France then they are French.
Okay… so why are these “Frenchmen” (as you called them), these “EU citizens” (as I called them), risking their lives to come to the UK?

@indonesia-phil saidIndeed.

@divegeester saidI still don’t believe people from France are dying in an attempt to immigrate to England illegally.
No.
