@AverageJoe1 saidIt's in that Constitution that you have apparently never read:
They have power to do so. Legitimate? What authority? You must mean when Dems take over?
"The Congress shall have Power To ........................
To regulate Commerce with foreign Nations, and among the several States, and with the Indian Tribes;".
Article I, Section 8
@no1marauder saidI, like you often say, have no the time to knock these off one at a time, but suffice to say that there are quite a few oil people, meeting with economists, that do indeed see what drilling in our country will do for our country.
The US is producing more energy than ever and has been throughout the Biden administration:
"Overall U.S. energy production — which includes everything from heating oil to gasoline to sources used to generate electricity such as coal, natural gas and renewables — hit 102.82 quadrillion British thermal units in 2023, more than 4% higher than the 2022 level, which was th ...[text shortened]... ts have some good ideas (like higher fuels standards for example) to do all that right wingers hate.
I believe that you have a deep seated hope for our economy to go socialism/communism, and will preach on that Marx soapbox in the town square to kill fossil fuel. If Trump wins, we will be drilling and get out of the mess a good bit, according to some smart people. I only know what I read.
BTW, all the things Trump says he will do? YOu can bank on it.
Marauder...........Would you 'bank on' Harris to follow through on all here promises, mainly the 4 things she changed her mind , 180, on last week? Fracking, Medicare, etc.??
Just tween you and me, ...yes, I have the best private insurance money can buy, lucky me. Throw rocks at me.
But here is the curious thing....why ban me (communism) from buying that insurance that I would like to buy.?? Why? Am I being punished? Can you justify for me and Suzianne and everyone the reasons for just closing private insurance? Just take it away? What have I done? I pay my taxes.
What happened to choice in this country? Shav obviously chooses to live menially and apparently uses govt medicare. I choose to not buy a new AlfaRomeo and instead, pay insurance premiums to The Hartford for FINE insurance.
C'mon, humor me. Why?
@AverageJoe1 saidAnd you're not even a fool.
You say the solution to inflation will be controlling prices. I just read that and could not believe it. There are a lot of solutions possible for inflation, Trump’s being to get energy lined up properly which affects every part of our society. That will bring inflation down. No sense discussing what raising prices will do to inflation. It is all over the Internet. It will make it worse. It will make everything worse. Don’t be an idiot.
You're just a liar.
@AverageJoe1 saidI really have no idea WTF you are talking about.

Since you didn't seem to understand anything I wrote in that last post, I'll stop trying to explain economics to a dullard like yourself.
No, I don't think Trump would do hardly anything he promises if the country is stupid enough to elect him except give a big tax cut mainly to the wealthy. If he actually followed through on his ridiculous economic proposals and Congress was actually insane enough to OK them we'd have both a deep recession and high inflation (his concentration camp proposals would slash consumer spending and his tariffs would shoot prices through the roof).
@no1marauder saidSo noted. Trump will not follow through with his campaign promises.

You do not mention the second part of the question. Will Kamala follow through with her campaign promises?
@AverageJoe1 saidI imagine she'll try but a lot depends on what happens in the Senate and House races.
So noted. Trump will not follow through with his campaign promises.

I'm thinking the most likely scenario for the first two years is a Democratic President, Republican Senate and Democrat House. If that happens, I don't imagine much will get done at all.
@AverageJoe1 saidThat you are not only a fool, but a liar as well.
What does this post mean?
It’s not that hard to comprehend the text.

So for you life saving meds like insulin SHOULD be 400 bucks a pop, nothing wrong with that, right? Even though the stuff costs 10 bucks a pop to manufacture.
Just capitalism in action right? No intent to gouge or grift, right? Even though the rest of the planet pays WAY less than the US for drugs in general, just let capitalism have its run. I guess they are free not to get insulin if they want, right?
@AverageJoe1 saidMerely drilling more oil will not "bring inflation down".

You are a fantasist, i.e., a liar.
@sonhouse saidI don't study this like you do, we just cherry-pick subjects and move on, but insulin is not one I have studied, I guess I have net been directly impacted. Have you been impacted by the funds taken from your tax money to pay towards loans that were freely and voluntarily made by college students, now graduating. I think you have, but do not give a durn, nor about its continuation, since no program is ever stopped once it gets off the ground.

It is so weird that you rail on about cost of drugs but care not about cherry-picking certain people (6 figure college grads) to give money to. You would not rather apply that money to the down-and-out? Never mind, you will not answer. Write to Suzianne.
@AverageJoe1
So for you there is no difference between price gouging for life saving drugs and price gouging student loans. Got it. If someone owes a quarter million for that art history degree, and ten years later it is a half million owed, no biggie, right?
How does it feel not to even know the DEFINITION of the word empathy much less have any yourself?
