there are 8.1 Billion people on Earth.. that's too many. Wars are very good at keeping the population numbers in check. The Middle east or China needs to have a vrius to "correct" their population in the future.

According to Israeli records, "The final death toll from the attack is now thought to be 695 Israeli civilians, including 36 children, as well as 373 security forces and 71 foreigners, giving a total of 1,139."

Who should we be supporting?
Not the one who started it on October 7, that hides behind innocents hoping for collateral damages.

You would make a great Hamas apologist, equating going into homes preselected to personally murder, rape, and torture babies to the elderly. Making a moral equivalence to combat, do you wear the head dress?
Raj already explained that Israel knows they're dropping bombs on sleeping civilians. Now you call that combat?

Its only too many because 20% of the population eat 80% of the food, then they get fat, unhealthy from over-eating and die young. But before they die, they use up resources trying to stay alive.

Yes they do and it is combat. Hamas is among the civilians and it is allowed by the Geneva Convention. Hamas has built massive tunnels under civilian building with the full knowledge of people of Gaza, who are fully aware of what it was going to be used for.

Unless you are Soviet Russia, wars are pretty useless at keeping population in check.

Plagues (in the past; not so much now); prosperity and reducing infant mortality (smaller family size); societal support for the elderly (not needing children to fall back on); and political decisions (e.g. China one child) have had a far greater check on population than any wars.

Avoiding the question. Where do you find truth. Whataboutism is not an answer, it is an obvious deflection. Just like Noem refusing to answer the question why she said she talked to Kim Jon Un which was a barefaced lie, 'I spoke to a lot of foreign leaders' was her answer over and over, like you, deflection.

Which is meaningless because the how and why are the issues not who is more lethal.

I dont need to answer questions posed by people who are here to just ask, but do not contribute an opinion to the forums. Are you asking? I will answer you because you speak your mind and express an opinion. That woman who asked does not. She was not able to condemn Hamas... such a weak personality.

Media with an axe to grind or funded by certain interest groups like Fox or Al Jazeera [just two], are not reliable sources of information. Diplomatts who represent their country can be much worse. Sometimes it is people on the ground who have no reason to lie or twist the truth are the most reliable. Radio networks, shortwave radio enthusiasts and news services connected to these people are often the most reliable.

Sure mate. Do it. Kill those civilians. Do it with your own bombs.

Israel spends its money to provide free health care and free college for it's citizens. Then y'all put up a stink when your ally is like "here you can have these giant bombs for free, but..... Please don't use them to kill civilians".

You build your bases around hospitals, schools, residential areas where innocent people are the goal is not to keep civilians out of harm’s way but to make them shields.

Launching attacks then mixing in with innocent brings the fight into where they are based and where they hid. Hamas is not trying to prevent civilians from dying they use violence to kill those opposed to them and think nothing of those around them dying.

When they and those who support and help them get justice there will be hell to pay.

Where you been? They've been doing it for decades. They will continue doing it for decades. Do what you do. Kill!

Others are tired of the war mongering.

How many more billions do you need from the US taxpayers for your revenge mission?

You mentioned shortwave stations, I am a ham and have a long term interest in shortwave listening besides talking on ham band, my favorite contact was McMurdo sound in Antarctica, a 20 odd foot wire thrown out of a second story window on 20 meters, (14 Mhz) and we talked for about 20 minutes and set up for a chess game but signal faded and didn't get in that game.

When I was a kid my uncle had a Zenith Transoceanic shortwave portable radio, well sort of portable, it was very large and heavy but back then the shortwaves were chock full of interesting stations. TV and steaming net shows have pretty much killed shortwave stations and what comes out of the US these days is dreadful, extreme rightwing survivalists or extreme rightwing religious nuts, it is embarrassing to listen to that garbage.

I have a nice portable SW radio, Tecsun 880 and out in the open it is very sensitive and has SSB and such and 10 Hz per click tuning.
But in the house all the RF interference from computers and even our Samsung cloths dryer totally screws up listening indoors and the only way you can do that indoors is to use an outside antenna and my first go round didn't work well because I used RG143 coax, very thin, much smaller diameter than the usual RG58 and the like, because wife hates wires so tried to make it less noticeable than that rather heavy RG58 and my 143 was white, some 1/8th inch in diameter but it looks like maybe the 143 coax didn't do as well at 10 to 30 megs maybe, and still picked up house RF noise.
A proper antenna would have to be away from the house and that is another story. I have a half wave fan dipole for ham use but my Rig expert antenna analyzer showed I didn't get that even close to say 40 meters, ~7 Mhz, more like 9 megs which isn't that bad for SW broadcasts but sucked at 40 meters.

Anyway there are a lot of SW stations telling good unbiased news but they are way less than even ten years ago.
