@wildgrass
20 yrs from now people will call this current conflict an unprovoked slaughter of Palestinians. They are going to leave out the facts. This is what you are doing here with these two comments:
..the 6 day war in 1967? Hundreds of prisoners mass slaughter stuff.
In 1982 ... they were dropping bombs everywhere in Lebanon hoping one of them might hit a terrorist.
Those two statements are not factual.
@wildgrass saidAccording to Hamas, with the full support of the Gaza people, the conflict will only end when they have regained all of Palestine from the river to the sea, and have killed out the Jews in the process.
Why does it matter if the killers come in through the front door or the roof?
Bombing civilians area makes bad situations worse. This is a never ending conflict. One of the misconceptions here is that the civilian deaths are having an effect at all on Hamas. I am not a military strategist, but it seems they are not. Pointless killing in revenge for pointless killing.
So the choice is kill or be killed.
@Rajk999 saidYeah I know it's bad. The US doesn't want you to use our weapons for killing civilians. Use your own.

so I've always wondered...what is the best way to accomplice population control in a country? I don't know how the Chinese did it...But..is is better to sterilize the men or to prevent the women from becoming pregnant?
@wildgrass saidIt doesn’t matter if they come through the front door or the roof if they specifically choose you for murder, rape, and torture. It is personal preference selection which is quite different from collateral damage in a random chance encounter with an attack on a combatant. You actually can not see the difference? The end result is the same but the motivation is completely different.

Dying from a stroke in your sleep is as getting dead from getting your head cut off while alive, if the differences are meaningless to you why complain at all, none of us are going to make it out of this life alive.
@Rajk999 saidYou could up the kill ratio to 1000:1, kill a million Palestinians, but 4 million still remain.

Is that the strategy? My prediction:
Hamas goes nowhere. Your war was not won.
@KellyJay saidThe motive is anger on both sides of this conflict.

Israel and the whole world has known Hamas is capable of mass murder. They've stated as such and proven it before. So why did Israel wait until after October 7th to "defend itself" in this way? Why didn't they bomb civilians in rafah years ago?
Because they were not angry enough.
@wildgrass saidIf genocide was the goal you should be able to see a great reduction of Palestinian people since the days Israel returned as a country, please look up the numbers if you actually believe that is true.

@wildgrass saidIsrael is angry because of an attack on its people. Had Oct 7 not happened there would not be any attacks against Gaza. There was no reason to attack until the slaughter of Oct 7th, everyone would have been at peace. It sounds like in your mind Israel wanted to attack but was looking for an excuse, what a twisted mind you have if that is true!

@KellyJay saidRevenge killing civilians in anger is just not something that an ally should be asking someone else to pay for.

But they're our 51st state don't ya know?
@wildgrass saidWhether its a win or not, depends on your aim. The aim was to get rid of Hamas, teach the Gaza Palestinians a lesson they wont soon forget, and to exact revenge for the killing of Israeli citizens, both killing Palestinians and destroying their homes and villages.

I say all is accomplished except for getting rid of Hamas which has to be 75% dead already. Rafah is the last place they will be and in a few more days that will be over.
Gazans will think twice about attacking Jews. If not then a few more of these over the next 5 years and the point will be driven home.
@mlb62 saidA stable population with a replacement rate of around 2.3 kids/couple seems to happen pretty naturally in a free, peaceful and prosperous society.

A lot of parents prefer fewer kids so that each kid can enjoy more resources. But they have to be very sure those kids will likely survive.
