It's supposedly turned on, but it doesn't do anything. Maybe you need to install a dictionary or something?
When this preference is enabled, Firefox will check your spelling
and offer possible corrections as you type in web forms. Note that you
may need to download a dictionary; to do so, right-clickpress Ctrl and
click on any text field, enable spellchecking if necessary, and
then use the provided Languages menu to
download a dictionary.
Originally posted by XanthosNZAh, thanks. Now I have installed a British dictionary, and the spell-check works. I'll probably switch it off soon because it'll be annoying to get all that red stuff...

If you right-click on a misspelled word it will give you a couple of suggestions. Choose one. Tada!

Hey, McFly...your one of those dixie chicks arn't you? HAHAHAHA... I highly enjoy & encourage everything that is posted on here. No one, especially me has restricted what anybody has to say (and how would I do that anyways?) Are you trying to restrict what I have to say? Post what you wish, but if say something dumb (again) I will point it out to you.

So they continue their pout-fest of "not making making nice", by calling their fans red-necks & putting out a movie of their so sad plight. Somehow they have allowed their hatred for President Bush to interfere with their ability to make money, and they blame it on the government for limiting their freedom of speech??? I don't get it?? If a majority of the US felt the same way that they did, then their sales would have gone up, but instead it went the other direction. So, they went on tour outside of the US, and I know it will make you sad, but...they are breaking up. (good riddance)

Originally posted by Dace AceThat doesn't necessarily follow. If the main fanbase of the Dixie Chicks is not the majority of the US, their political views will alienate only that percentage of the US that do listen to their music. Since this seems to be mostly the redneck population, it is prefectly reasonable that sales would drop if their views are in opposition to their fans.
