Yep. The high pitch whine that comes from them seems to drown out their music. It's always interesting when entertainers voice their political views, and discover that it is not in line with the views of their fans. Suddenly fans are not buying CD's or tickets to their shows. So they continue their pout-fest of "not making making nice", by calling thei ...[text shortened]... de of the US, and I know it will make you sad, but...they are breaking up. (good riddance)
But be carefull if your hand slips off, and hits you on the head you will be totally brain dead

That 1st disk they came out with was damn good IMO. I bought it and still play it on occasion. Some good songs on there.
Other than that .. they're traitors and i'm done giving a penny to them regardless how good they may be.

For running their mouths in a foreign country. Why do I even try to explain it to dweebs like you.
Originally posted by CliffLandinThat's what you get for assuming. I had already retired from the Army in 91 so I was here in the US before Clinton was even elected. You can be sure though that if I was still in the Army at the time of his election I would have followed his orders just like I followed orders from every Commander in Chief from Nixon to Bush Number 1. I hope that cleared up any misunderstanding on your part.

Originally posted by slimjimIt did, but would you have still sung his praises? I'm pretty sure the Dixie Chicks were under no obligation to follow orders.

The question is would you have talked crap about Clinton while following orders.

Traitor: One who commits treason.
Treason: "whoever, owing allegiance to the United States, levies war against them or adheres to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort within the United States or elsewhere, is guilty of treason" (18 U.S.C. § 2381)
So tell me, are they guilty of treason or do you just not know the laws of your own country?

The fans voted with their pocketbooks. The lead singer couldn't help it because she attended school in Berkley, CA along with those other loony lefties. Their fans condemmed them as traitors. 50 years ago they might have been convicted of treason or at least offering confort to the enemy.

How exactly is a soundbite or an article criticising American policy treasonous?
