The numbers have been very good in places like Korea, where the mask culture is very strong.
It might be better to suggest that European style lockdowns have failed us.
As it stands, the one place with a very large surge in cases in Korea, Daegu, got through the thousands of infections relatively quickly, and at no point was the whole city in any form of lockdown.
