Cutting off assistance like welfare or food stamps would result in one thing...

Millions of people taking from those who have what is needed.

Not a good idea average Joe.

Here is a good idea...

Stop job killing automation. Kill all robots and have people do the job.
That's just one idea.

And the captured unwashed masses of the Great Welfare Plantations exhibit feeding habits of the hand-fed ducks!
Crap food galore, and their ill health shows it.
When I was teaching I'd work during the summers at mini-marts, and people with SNAP cards would come in and load up on chips cookies cheese whiz candy bars soda pop and other assorted junk food. All of them fat AF. Going to a supermarket and buying fresh fruits and vegetables was out of the question.
McDonalds and other fast food places take SNAP cards in California and Arizona, and do a big business accepting them.

How bout you? Did you see where the libs’ president is not Ameica first? And on the world stage, with China and Russia licking their chops, takes the time to talk about the Republican Party and Donald Trump. Man he is not a leader for this country.

I notice you say ‘right’ at the end of sentences a lot. You might say ‘the sky is blue, right?
Suzianne does that a lot. Instead of asking, ‘are you a liberal, she will say ‘you’re a liberal’ and then ask me !Right?’

Two sentences. Crazy stuff.

If they are really worried about the people they claim they are helping, why don't they just limit the types of foods they can get.
If the recipient wants junk food after that, let them use cash. Let us remember, it is a food supplement program.

There would be riots if the government tried to do that, people would call it racist and claim the country doesn't care about how much they need their grape soda and pork rinds or whatever...

More than 3/4 of families that receive SNAP benefits have one person working and 1/3 have 2 or more working.https://www.census.gov/library/stories/2020/07/most-families-that-received-snap-benefits-in-2018-had-at-least-one-person-working.html

I prefer to base my opinions on facts while you have an aversion to them.

Your implication that people won't work if they get SNAP benefits is absurd, but just saying so isn't sufficient. So I presented evidence debunking your stupid theory.

If I'm debating someone at a bar, I do the same thing with my smartphone.

Can’t imagine a mate whipping out the phone. I have coffee with the same guys each week, doesn’t happen. Hard to laugh and slap your knee with a phone in your hand. You would not like my group, it is a bubble, we are all the same.

Not an implication.....You haven’t seen what is going on, the losers who take govt handouts flat tell the reporters, the world, that they are better off not working. Don’t have to pay child care, etc. so, this is my evidence to debunk your theory. No link from me, it is common knowledge. I cannot imagine knowing someone like that.
I love my bubble. No need for the diversity thing that libs rave about. Culture problem is around the corner. Not sure Biden up to it, he won’t last the year.

Musty....but I DO have an idea. Govt totally supports the 40M who are truly in need. Everyone else take care of themselves, work, produce, things like that. No more welfare except for those 40M. This makes sense, but not to libs, who know no sense.
Enforcement of law by authorities, and by citizens with guns, will keep losers from ‘taking from those who have what is needed.”

Automation? If people don’t go back to work, flipping burgers, I will be the first to invest in automation, because robots will be necessary. Musty, do you think Mcdonalds will just ‘close their doors’? “. Don’t think so, they will buy my robots!!

When robots can finially do the low level jobs that the very poor have been doing, fewer and fewer people will be needed. This means that many many people will no longer need to exist. It is the end game for the elites.

The National Park Service, department of the interior, cautions “Please Do Not Feed the Animals”. Tha animals become dependent, not able to care for themselves.

At the same time, the Food Stamp Program distributes handouts to 43 million people. Hmmmmm, food for thought.
Oh dear.
First of all, you don’t feed the animals because you don’t know what’s healthy for them or for the environment.
For example: feeding ducks and pigeons leads to rat infestations.
It’s not got much to do with them becoming dependent.

Second of all, if you create and maintain a system where it’s impossible for creatures to sustain themselves within that system, they will sustain themselves outside of the system.
If you don’t want that, you better sustain them.

From that I understand it to be...
Capitalism created a system where over time the rich eliminated jobs to cut costs and usually incorporated automation robots to cut costs.

So...the rich either pay a basic income or suffer the consequences of millions of poor people taking what rich people have...by force if necessary.

Which I wholeheartedly agree with.

@AverageJoe1

I'm sure you have used a self checkout at the grocery store...
You eliminated someone's job when you did that.

You have used a bank machine...
Why not go inside the bank so a teller can keep their job?

I'm sure you have been to a fast food joint and used the touch screen to order instead of going to the counter...
Another person's job eliminated...

The list goes on and on.

Stop complaining about poor people needing welfare or assistance when you and the rich bastards keep creating a society where wealthy people find ways to eliminate jobs and cut costs so they can have more profits.

One day...poor people will rise up and it will be like a swarm engulfing the rich and you won't be able to stop it.

Automation is the enemy.
Rich people's greed causes it.
