The escape velocity of the moon is 2.4 kilometers per second, Earth's is near 10.
DO THE FUKKING MATH. If the moon had 1/20th Earth gravity the escape velocity would be about 1000 miles per HOUR. It is actually about 5300 miles per hour in terms of miles per hour or 2400 meters per second.
