But if fertilised, the yolk contains the chicken foetus, if not, you eating its period, either way, don't think about it and pinch your nose.

Egg actually, think about it... I'm slightly more evolved in a very rough sense compared to the generations that came before me, so as a thought experiment, if the chick in the egg is the first chicken, due its parents being "proto-chickens" than the egg is the first chicken, hence the egg came first...

I am working with children with special needs. Just today I worked with a child you'd probably call a "useless blob of flesh", a child who can only express himself with a few sounds, who is blind, intentional movements have become more and more rare, and we know he won't survive much longer. Obviously he'll never become a productive member of our society, but everybody around him would agree that spending time with him is very fulfilling. In a case like this, I would understand if parents would prefer an abortion if they knew what's going to happen. But once the child is there, I can't imagine any parents who would want it killed.

I have never seen a proto-chicken... did they find one?

Good point.

Maybe I should adjust my argument then to mention that red blob in the yellow goo.

I think you just said an egg is a chicken in there somewhere. My whole chicken theory has just collapsed.

If it is not a "human being" when it is growing into a human being, then how can it attain human beingness if it was not a human being when it was developing?

It would be purely naturalistic for a developing human being to be a human being ...[text shortened]... " do not include "snot" "feces" etc but rather include a developing human being.
So if a "something" grows into a human being, what is it before then?

A fetus.

If it is not a "human being" when it is growing into a human being, then how can it attain human beingness if it was not a human being when it was developing?

Human DNA codes for the nervous system (brain, mainly) which creates the "human beingness".

It would not be natural to "however at some point it turns into a human."

So...are the sperm and egg which will eventually combine to make the embryo a human? Is the sperm half a human? Before the sperm is made, are all the amino acids and such that will make it up various fractions of a human? Or does something which was not a human become a human?

The egg did. Fish were laying eggs before chickens ever existed.

At the very least, it is not a live developing chicken that is growing into what we know as an adult size chicken.
At which point did it stop being a chicken?

I know what I'm talking about, do you?
Go clean out the diaper of a 200 pound tard, use a lift to get it off it's wheelchair and get feces smeared all over your gloved hands while it drools and goes DUUUURHHHHHH. Then you'll have a notion as to what I'm talking about.
Why on earth do you work with these people? They deserve better.

And before you say I don't know what I am talking about because I am working with children, I have also been working with adults, changing their nappies etc. I didn't quite agree with one of them who thought it was very funny to smear faeces, and yes, one can get quite tired of such behaviour. But if you aren't able to see the person behind the behaviour anymore, then you are in the wrong place. It's as simple as that.

Frightening isn't it that some people have so little humanity in them.

The yolk is the food source for a developing embryo. The chick would be attached to the outside of the yolk, but not all eggs are fertilised. 🙂
