Finally, it was your president who said: "If you're not for us, you're against us." Did you read what Teddy Roosevelt had to say about that?
I don't, so I'd be interested to know. Could you post it please.

Thanks

Very well, but since he's not here, I vote that I speak for him. Let's see--for loss of liberty, subjection to torture & physical injuries (yeah--I take kidnap victims at their word on that kind of thing; what's the alternative? To believe Bush's words that "we don't torture"?), mental anguish, and punitive damages for dumping him in Albania, I put the p ...[text shortened]... ion: There are not enough precious metals in Fort Knox to pay the debt owed to el-Masri.
Oh, c'mon....I'll take it seriously when you do.

Yes, he was wronged.
On this occasion, culpability was admitted, and settlement reached.
End of that story....move along, nothing to be seen here...

It happens every day, in many circumstances, but because it is in some way linked to "War On Terror" a big issue is made of it.

I make no justification for it happening, but it does....and it's no less awful for any others either....

How about the tens of thousands of oppressed in Burma / Myanmar right now....it's not just the monks you know...

Wake up...one recalcitrant hitting jackpot just isn't comparable to real plight...

I don't completely agree about the common sense argument, but that quote from Bush WAS the most stupid comment ever made by a president, or politician of any stripe.
