@averagejoe1 saidIncompetent as a leader.
A bit strong to call a non-physician non-scientist incompetent in the face of the Covid surprise attack. You fellers don't give 'a inch, do you.
We have scientists for the science stuff, teachers for the teaching stuff, physicians for the medicine stuff.
Trump was the president. He was supposed to do leadership stuff. But he tweeted "OPEN THE SCHOOLS" instead.
Incompetent leadership.
@wildgrass saidDo you mean he tweeted Close The Schools? not following. Somebody closed them, our kids are behind now about 2 yeears

@averagejoe1 saidTeeeted? No. They were closed in reality.

The schools closed while he was president, under his leadership, and then he tried to fix it with a tweet from the golf course.
@wildgrass saidSo he wanted to open the schools. Of course. Are you suggesting above that Trump wanted them closed? He wanted them open, and now he is proven to have been right. Studies this week have our kids way behind. He fought it, and in this case, no one listened to him. Do you think he will be as active when he is back in theOval?

I tweet very often from course , what is wrong with that, as I detect disdain in your words. At least he tweeted,, for god sakes, the man was wide open. Biden, well, he does nothing except get pushed from one situation to another, then to his bed, then to the plane, then to the beach…….to be transparent, and ‘bring us all together 🤣ðŸ¤ðŸ‡µðŸ‡¸
@averagejoe1 saidProven right??? Yeah like this was one of trump's game shows. Leaders actually do stuff. He couldn't get the job done.

Trump botched the COVID response. School closures were unnecessary. He spent way too much money. There was an opportunity to bring us together, unify around a common problem. Trump chose instead to call it a Democrat hoax, shirk responsibility, undermine the organizations that were under his own control.
An example of what not to do.

Trump is a coward. He was afraid that telling people the truth would hurt his ‘ratings.’ Can you imagine FDR announcing in the aftermath of December 7th 1941, “It’s going to be over by Easter” ?
@moonbus saidA totally political statement to calm his citizens. Any president would do that, should he have caused panic? You are naive’.

You sound like Sonhouse. Like you, he thinks he knows ‘why people do things.
@averagejoe1 saidYes another word for selfish is political when the situation called for something completely unselfish.

Honesty? Integrity? Realistic expectations?
@AverageJoe1
You LOVE to rewrite history, but here are the FACTS JACK:

@AverageJoe1
It will be gone by Easter is NOT leadership. LEADERSHIP is admitting there is a real problem and he was told in JAN that year Covid was contagious AND dangerous but he didn't give a rats ass for ANYONE but Donald Trump. And BTW, when he caught it he almost died but he hid that part very well. We now know WHY he refused to be a real leader back then, he had stock in a competing Pharm company and didn't want to lose money and that is EXACTLY why he stymied the need for medical supplies so badly he had FEDS literally stealing meds from states that paid good money for them and then distributed to his buddy states and SCREW dem states. That also is a FACT JACK.
https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2020-03-19/trump-told-governors-to-buy-own-virus-supplies-then-outbid-them#xj4y7vzkg
This was one of the most disgusting aspects of his 4 year tenure of terror.
@wildgrass saidI would not say that calming the masses is a political stunt. If he did not keep the libs calm, why, they would pick up their signs and bother the hell out of people.
Yes another word for selfish is political when the situation called for something completely unselfish.

If I learned that someone was about to set fire to a theater, I would not holler 'everyone run!!!!!! We are about to be burned alive!" No, I would calmly announce that we have discovered a hazard, everyone please exit the theater as quickly and orderly as possible. Do not forget your belongings". And That would be with impending doom in the next few minutes.
@sonhouse saidOK, you would have done better.....now that you know what the real picture was.

Who knew? From now on, we can only certify a person for president if he knows the nature of diseases and medicines. And everything else. Anyway, you think Trump hates America, so your screed is a bit dusty.
