Building a wall is not a bad idea, it's simply impractical. From the costs of building to also maintaining the wall after it's built (especially from floods, hurricanes, etc.), it's not feasible.
You also can't just shoot people coming across the border like North Korea does. These are refugees with children.
Maybe the idea of a wall should be revisited but without the anti-Mexican hatred attached to it. If the U.S. is to build that a wall it should be to secure borders; not because Mexicans are drug-peddling rapists.

Among other things Trump said if he wins in '24, he will reinstate the separation of infants from mothers like he did when he was POTUS, 5000 in cages ATT and at least 5 died and now we know it was so incompetently done they didn't know what kid belonged to what parent and still some kids have not been repatriated.
