@CapaCrapa
Maybe police officers can be taught to teach mathematics, science and literature.

Young children who decide at young age that they want to teach when they grow up now are being told to carry guns in classrooms.

What is wrong with your country ?

Underpaid?

Teachers here make 80k a year.

The training would be university programs that they take.
A teacher has to take certain courses to be a teacher.
So make combat/shooter scenarios a course.

It ain't hard to learn how to shoot.
Teachers pay for their own university educations here. You want them to spend more of their money on learning how to be a gun carrying security guard? What about the insurance? Armed security costs over $20/hour. Are the teachers just going to have to accept that additional responsibility and danger for nothing?

“Here” (Canada) doesn’t have mass shooting problems.

Here (USA) teachers in the inner city make 40k (I know because I was one).
Inner city teachers are horrible.
They suck.

40k USA is about 60k Canadian.

When teachers were prevented from whooping ass the students started to suffer.
I've seen inner city teachers 😄

They be all into feelings and social justice BS Instead of demanding respect while making kids learn.

American teachers either have no backbone or they are limited in whooping some ass.

My teachers were capable of violence. It worked.

Maybe ditch the course about "Feelings" and focus on being tough?

When teachers got soft yall got dumb.

USA is what? 27th for high-school scores?

Solutions to what? School shootings? All the other countries seem to have solved that problem. Time for you to admit you are ok with school shootings as a consequence of your obsession with having ready access to guns and ammunition in the inner cities. Even in the Old West in small towns guns were not allowed.

Pay them more and they will suck less.

They get enough for just sitting around and handing out course work.

Try building a house or farm work or plumbing...etc etc.

They are over paid prima donnas who have classes about feelings and next Friday little Jimmy will tell the class he is little Julie now 🙄

Nobody gave me any course work to hand out when I was a teacher. I don’t think you know anything about the profession.

You know how much contractors and engineers make?!

Your mistake is comparing labor to white collar professionals. You some kind of Commie?

Teachers are nowhere near engineers and contractors 🤣

Based on your rating I would say yes.
You quit being a teacher for a reason and you can't say because of pay.

If you were making money you wouldn't be here defending current teachers with their soft approach to kids.

Really? Seems it was much tougher to get my Bachelor of Science in biochemistry and then enroll in a Master’s program for Education than it is getting my General Contractors license. Just takes a couple multiple choice tests to get a CL, and I am not in nearly six figures of debt from the latter.

I don’t think you know anything about the white collar world and like a Communist you think unskilled labor should get equal pay as everyone else.

That says far more about you than it does about me. Chess is a pointless endeavor. You might as well say I’m stupid because my checkers rating isn’t high. How do you claim to be intelligent when you admit you don’t make any money?
