So Trump is doing EXACTLY what I said he would do.

It is an obvious test of testing the senate, to see if there is anyone in balls there to refuse to go along with THE worse possible pick as AG. William Barr is a fuuking SAINT compared to this assshole, and he is resigning from congress just ahead of an ethics probe to his sleeping with a 17 yo girl.

A blatant attempt to do what we said he would do which we based on what he SAID he would do but of course his base just goes HA HA he is SUCH a joker.

Well they will find out the hard way when it is clear he owns Justice, Legislative AND executive.

We are only a couple years or so away from the End Game for Trumpism and this entire asinine MAGA "movement" that never really knew what it wanted, and I wager will never know. It'll go the way of the Tea Party idiocy.

Though, as I've harped on about before here, the US desperately needs a modern constitution. The way it is, only two viable parties are possible, and there are actually a lot of Republican voters who really can't stand MAGA, but vote for its proponents anyway because they cannot bring themselves to vote for Democrats.

See, if we had a constitution like Germany's (another federal republic), multiple viable parties would be possible. So, MAGA would be its own party, and would probably get around 25% of the vote. Sane conservatives who can walk upright like a human would constitute another party, basically the center-right Old School GOP, which would probably get another 25%. The Democrats would split into at least two parties: a leftist party and a left-center one. They each might get 25%.

Now imagine: the moronic US Congress would be replaced by a parliament that selects a prime minister instead of a strongman president. The MAGA chimps would be shut out of any governing coalition because as a party in its own right it would not get anything more than about 30% of the vote at most, and thus could easily be excluded by the parties that got the other 70%. The German counterpart to MAGA is the AfD (Alternative for Germany) party, and it is excluded from the governing coalition. Center-left and center-right parties have the power, with the AfD having scarcely any voice. In order for the AfD to get control of the government it would truly need to garner about 50% of the vote. Same with MAGA in the US if the US had any kind of decent constitution and democratic mechanisms.

MAGA is egregiously out of step with most of the American public. Most voters want legal marijuana, legal abortion, well-funded public schools, access to health care without being financially ruined, mail-in voting, and so on. MAGA is dead set against all these things and more, and is intent on establishing an authoritarian, Christo-fascist oligarchic kleptocracy for the enrichment of a few ultra-wealthy magnates who fund its despicable, degenerate candidates (e.g. Musk pumped $137 million into Trump's campaign). This cannot last, and it will end in fire for the fascists. The people will not stand for this much longer, I dare say.
