PB: They [the snopes site] did say that Obama did voice it.
It most certainly did not. It quoted from a column written by a John Semmens from his satirical (do you know what that means?) Semi News series on the web site of the Arizona Conservative "offering a mock explanation" from Obama (do you know what the word "mock" means?)
The last sentence is pretty clear: However topical it might be, it's just a bit of political commentary-cum-humor, though, not the Senator's own words. (emphasis added in the hope, probably forlorn, that you might grasp this)

It should be disturbing that this is even an issue.
I don't understand...shouldn't a man admit love for and loyalty to his wife? Shouldn't a teacher admit loyalty to the kids he teaches? I certainly hope our military folks are swearing loyalty to the country. Why should the President refuse to do so? That's a bit frightening.
Aren't you concerned your elected leaders might just be (maybe not now, but maybe later?) American stooges, or Russian stooges, or Chinese stooges, or British, or anyone else? Shouldn't they be looking out for New Zealand?

Actually, looking at Snopes, this seems to be a false rumor. The only rumor they gave a green light to was the "removed flag from airplane" rumor.
