YOU wouldn’t be covering anyone YOU would just be paying your taxes like YOU do now. Do you lay awake at night worrying about whose policeman you’ve payed for or who’s share of the highway you’ve financed. Perhaps you sit for hours fretting about non taxpayers bowel movements travelling through the taxpayer built sewer system.
All you need to know is that collectively you will pay a lot less of your incomes on a universal healthcare system than you do now as individual buyers.

Maybe,Kev. But have you ever heard 'you get what you pay for? My best friend is getting care you would not believe right now, at MD Anderson, with a genius doctor who has erased his lung cancer. I am glad the govt isn't choosing his treatment for him. He would be dead now. But you just don't get what I just wrote. Your program would totally revamp medical care in this country, dilute it, water it down. Make medical decisions. Which do you want, Kev? Be real. I myself am not going to let Dr Afghani even check my pulse. No conversation.

A highway and the policemen who protect us are all universal governmental responsibility. My taxes pay for the fire department. Should my taxes pay for you to go get an abortion, or maybe your sprained wrist? All my kids are boys. I will never have to pay for an abortion. But you think your taxes should pay for an abortion for my neighbor's daughter. Not quite fair, is it. His family gets a benefit from taxes that I will never get. Just aint right, is it.

But my neighbor and me,,,well, we both use a highway and bridges and police and fire department. Liberals are totally failing in logic and common sense. And they often try to replace it with emotion.

My life is not boring, if that is somehow relevant.....but the idea of my tax money going to pay the expenses of a neighbor is definitely not boring, far from it. Should he pay mine? Have you ever responded to my time-worn adage....some people work harder than others, make better choices than others? If someone does, or doesn't, at what point does that become some concern of mine? That the govt might knock on my door. Sorry, but I think it is good to get people thinking.

Is that a question? Are you asking if 'I am the one?..." I didn't say that, who said that? Was it Vivify, who is having bad day?

I did look at the post which does not say whom would have a right to the eggs...I guess the farmer that owns the goose, which is silly and makes us lose sight of this really cool idiom. It means having a 'shortsighted distinction of a valuable resource'. Today, it might mean there is a goose (Steve Jobs?) that lays iPhones. Kill Jobs, no phones. As to 'proper use', a golden egg, the proper use by a lib would be to turn it into cash and the libs would grab all that they could, and give it to people who do not work. Proper use of iPhone would be by entrepreneurs to make deals, which results in prosperity for the deal maker, who then creates jobs. Certainly you get my drift?
