@averagejoe1 saidWell if you live on a burning lake of lava you might consider a rat infested island a bit of an upgrade.
Certainly their friends have told them about the horrible treatment here.
This begs the question....why do they still choose to migrare here? (libs hate the word choose)
There is a reason why someone coined the phrase ‘relative poverty’ .
@mott-the-hoople saidSorry my media choices don't include govexec.com, but that's a pretty obscure source.
It didnt go down, that is your error.
Your media choices are putting out propaganda. Go to the source.

I have questions about this data. I'm not sure where it comes from Mott, but you have a history of posting irrelevant or incorrect information. 'Encounters' is of course not what we're talking about. It looks like maybe they just used a 2 year window surrounding the end of Obama vs. the beginning of Trump. Why didn't they include the entire time period? This seems important, no?
This data (not a "media choice"😉 comes directly from public records on ICE.
https://thehill.com/latino/470900-deportations-lower-under-trump-than-obama-report
"The Obama administration also deported 409,849 people in 2012 alone, while the Trump administration has yet to deport more than 260,000 people in a year..."
It seems that the analysis you posted may have cherry picked specific data that did not apply to all of the Trump or Obama administrations..
For example. "In fiscal 2018... CBP and ICE together carried out 337,287 removals of unauthorized immigrants, a 17% increase from the previous year.... But removals remained well below the levels recorded during much of the Obama administration, including a three-year period between fiscal 2012 and 2014 when there were more than 400,000 per year."
Again the data is publically available and provided by ICE. It's not manipulated, it just doesn't fit into the media narrative about Trump. It's a fact that Trump deported a lot fewer immigrants that Obama did, on a year over year basis. That is obvious given your continual posts of "sources" that don't prove your point.

@wildgrass saidI quite disagree, The direction was fine. Biden ruined everything. And, He ruined the Abraham Accord. He ruinedenergy independence. He ruined the middle, working class by luring them, with money, to stay home. To become lazy. He is an incompetent ruinor. Read the papers. What do I know?
I see none of the MAGA's want to contest the fact that Trump's border security policies took us in the wrong direction. Good intentions, poor results.

@averagejoe1 saidTime will tell, Joe. For now all I know is that the numbers do not support Trump administration policies on deporting illegal immigrants. He did worse than Obama.

@wildgrass saidI trusted Trump so much (to protect our country**) that I didn’t pay attention to how he did it, so could you tell what was bad about his deportation policy? Are you upset that he deported the aliens, or that he did NOT deport satisfactorily?

** Note Trump said America First a lot. What is Biden’s stance on that? A simple question.
@averagejoe1 saidYou write a lot about what Trump said. I'm indifferent on that front. I was referring to what he actually did.

@wildgrass saidConsider, assuming you think it is cool for a country leader to always put his country first in every way, with no country before him.......Trump’s slogan was America First. I respect him greatly for that, and his every move, though not always successful, was to that end.
You wrote that he said America first a lot as if that was some accomplishment. what did he do?
Biden has in effect declared an end to America First. The day the music died for me. Biden has uttered many statements which say he will settle for equalizing all that, forget Trump’s beautiful slogan. All a fact, like it or not.
You can google Trump’s accomplishments, if you are interested. Ot, get some popcorn and observe Biden. Sad man, and sad for us. Did he approve Putin pipeline, or was I misreading that? I probably miss read it .

@averagejoe1 saidYeah I'm not a slogan guy at all. I would never respect someone for their slogan. Sorry to disappoint. Show me the results.

@wildgrass saidMan, slogans are everywhere. Did you see today that a distillery was not allowed by Facebook to run a slogan "Back The Blue"? Wow, y'all are expert cancelers.
Yeah I'm not a slogan guy at all. I would never respect someone for their slogan. Sorry to disappoint. Show me the results.
Facebook used the usual words of equity and inclusion, etc as being required to qualify, whatever in the hell that means. I personally don't understand either word.
Question. If a Facebook campus has some bad illegal activity going, who would they call? The Blue? Jesus. Chew your pillows on that one. Or, better,. tell us what Facebook WOULD do. 😵 😲

@averagejoe1 saidAgain with the words?

I don't know anything about Spacebook corporate structure, but they should probably be allowed to make their own decisions on suitable content for their website. I still believe capitalism works better than Marxism.

@wildgrass saidAnd WHY????One reason.......because to get successful and prosper, there has to be a capitalistic society. Can’t be done under Marxism. Is everyone listening? All you Tlaib and BLM folks.....do you not get this? People WORK in capitalism. People labor in Marxism.
Again with the words?

Soon I will ask our libs to comment on the concept of Marx (From each according to their abilities, to each according to their needs.)
You will not believe their discombobulated responses. But none of them will denounce it.

@wildgrass saidYes, it’s their company. But my point is canceling. A new concept. Mob Rule has begun. I consider Facebook part of a mob, and man, y’all have one big effective mob.
Again with the words?

Wildgrass, do you think that the Electoral College should be abolished?
