@averagejoe1 saidHey Genius,
Go for it, change the issue. Change the Post, change the threads.
If i walk into a biz owner’s office…, he makes Christmas Cards, 19 employees. After we discuss what i can do for him, and his company for me, we strike a deal. Actually, i have to leave every day at 3:20 for my kids, he was ok with that. Contractual agreement.
Now, Sue, what fault do you find h ...[text shortened]... . If the kids want unions, there are unioned companies who would love to have them.
Suzianne?
Your less than average reasoning
fails to mention that, practically all,
of the worker reforms were instigated
by the unions.

@jimm619 saidI was making the point that we would agree on a few contractual items. That both parties are satisfied. That, special circumstance would be met.... The nature of contracts, sorry to go legal on you. And someone said a few clicks back, that it is not likely that something would be signed??? Really? What company is that??
''Gotta' leave at 3:20, huh?,
Sorry, I need someone who
can be here until 5 P.M., NEXT~!''
Is that you, Handy Andy??

Of course, paid leave would be contractual with your employer. It should not be mandated by the govt, there is no provision for such. It should DEF be offered by an employer, being healthy as you suggest.
Historically, I believe it has been two weeks, but again, it is up to the parties. Europe seems to get along with much longer,, even 5 weeks, but if you start with ...[text shortened]... ut how much time he would spend NOT working. Not my kind of guy. Well, gotta get off to WORK!! 😉
most ridiculous drivel that I've ever cast
my eyes upon....
In the unlikely situation, that you are ever
in a position to hire people, asking about
sick days or vacation is, not in the least, unusual.
We all are very aware that you are less than average but,
this (statement) goes beyond the pale....
GET A LIFE...I suggest a hobby, how about skydiving, marbles (have any?),
my personal suggestion? Try basket weaving~!!
@jimm619 saidCorrect. Binding. But I’d go written with a lib, to be on the safe side.

@suzianne saidheard a story some time ago about the auto union ( in USA ) buying up shares to get on the boards ( I suspect via super funds ) and then shafting the workers. I doubt unions these days actually help the workers, Collectively. Though they can be helpful in the event of an individuals circumstance.
Let's start with the massive selfishness and go from there.
You know, it's the unions in this country that got most workers the benefits they take for granted. Now, thanks to the Republicans, many states have become hostile to the unions. Worker satisfaction has since decreased in pace.
In Australia, A Paul Keating negotiated, or rather brought in what was called enterprise bargaining whereas the workers could negotiate a higher pay rise ( based on productivity improvements ) than the CPI and even demand it, ( if the improvements were big enough ) and the body that ratified it would approve it. I thought this created a win/win situation. Later it seemed that these benefits were not going to necessarily get passed to new workers. And the union said bad luck, thats the way it is.
Unions only care about there own entity and maybe some face saving exercises.
