No he hasn’t turned against “climate change nonsense” but what you can express, in terms of opinion on something as political as climate change, when you are the Prince of Wales is very different to the apolitical stance you have to take as the Monarch.

Forum Gold.
@shavixmir saidThe US system is in fact a perfect example of why you need both a political leader and a non-political figurehead. Having both functions in the same person leads to personality cults.
Personally, I don’t see the need for a king or a president.
A prime minister is enough (obviously chosen from the elected parliament).
The US system is slightly strange in that respect.

@divegeester saidRemember, this is the guy who thinks he knows that farmers are made to starve to death in my country, and I'm being a MSM-reading sheeple. This is the guy who thinks Russia is in Ukraine to fight the Nazis by bombing historical Jewish graveyards, and all of us are being bamboozled by Nazi-Jew Zhelensky. This is the guy who claims to be a socialist, and parrots Qanon Trumpaganda to prove it.

Not only doesn't he know what is going on in other countries, not even doesn't he know what is going on in his own country, he doesn't even know what is going on inside his own head.

@metal-brain said“ Public holidays, the upkeep of historically important buildings, tourism, soft power / soft diplomacy.”
You didn't explain it to me.
Quoted from the top line of my post on page one, tenth post from the top.
There isn’t a reason why you need a constitutional monarchy any more than you need a pumpkin pie, the only question is what purpose does it serve or what use is it.
For me personally it’s main purpose is to preclude the existence of a president.

@metal-brain saidYou really are the poster boy for complete ignorance, aren't you?
Powerless figurehead? Oh, please.
Queen Elizabeth appointed 15 prime ministers during her reign, starting with Winston Churchill in 1951 right up to Liz Truss, just two days before her death.
