You must be joking or pathetically ignorant.
The vast majority of arrests are for drug "crimes", petty misdemeanors or simple assaults or other minor crimes. Violent crime rates have been dropping for more than three decades.
There were over 10 million arrests made and only about 5% of these were for violent crimes as defined by the FBI. Of these, close to 80% were for aggravated assaults, meaning only about 1 in a hundred arrests were for murder, rape or robbery.
Now maybe techsouth and Aj think we should pack another 10 million folks in custody for indefinite periods, but we already have 1.7 million people incarcerated (the highest rate in the world). This has a direct cost of approximately $182 billion per year. https://bjs.ojp.gov/
