It seems that Dubai has made its point, then.
Look Dude 84, some poeple - including many Israelis - were outraged by what happened 2 months ago. If you think that this means that I hate Jews, then that is your prerogative. If you think I am unaware of what has happened to Jews for thousands of years, and that this means I am in some sort of historical denial, ...[text shortened]... iabin.
But, at the very least, Dubai's anti-Zionist political gesture got you thinking.
Supporting Hamas will get everybody nowhere because they are pure unbridled evil. They are Mordor!
I don't think you're an anti semite for supporing them, perhaps naive. There's lots of good reasons to support something terrible.
To be clear, I am in favour of whoever is going to support the Palestinians and restore their dignity. They have none now, but it's their leaders fault, not Israels. I'm not saying you think I think this, but I'll make it clear on one of these threads that I'm Pro Israeli and Pro Palestinian. I am anti terrorism, and supporting a group of religious fanatics dedicated to ethnic cleansing I kind think isn't cool!
Originally posted by The Dude 84It seems you cannot help yourself. Almost every time you post you insinuate that those who don't see it your own shrill and simplistic way (1) is an anti-semite, (2) a supporter of Hamas, (3) ignorant of history. Then you like pulling back from these things and insisting you were misunderstood. It's difficult to talk about anything with you.

Originally posted by FMFWhy would I agree with someone who I don't agree with? By the way, saying that I see things in a simplistic way because I make a simple statement is nonsense. That's like calling Einstein simplistic for saying "E=mc squared". I'm not saying I have his depth but surely you understand my point.

Obviously I think there's a gap in understanding with everyone I don't agree with, or else I wouldn't disagree with them.
Just because I don't think you're an anti-semite doesn't mean I agree with you.
Wouldn't it be more problematic if I didn't have a reason to disagree with the people who I disagree with? Am I misunderstanding your point?

Imagine if all the Jews were herded into the West Bank and the Gaza Strip. Imagine if they were then subjected collective punishment, humiliations and deprivations heaped upon humiliations and deprivations, borders sealed, water turned off, electricity turned off, medical supplies stopped at checkpoints...
The Blockade Continues—No Supplies, No Rebuilding

Is this Israel's best move now?

Shahar Peer wasn't/isn't a junkie. Reread the first post you have misunderstood the thread I'm afraid...
My opinion about illegal drugs and sport is not changed however...
So why was she banned? What was the official reason?
Originally posted by FabianFnasThe official reason was that residents were upset about Gaza and the tournament officials feared for her safety if she played there.

Originally posted by SwissGambitSo she didn't get banned then, it was only a safety measurement? Sounds logical to me. If I were in the same position, then I would also want to feel safe.
