part of his response

Bush: Clearly, one of the most important parts of my job because of 9/11 was to defend the security of the American people. There have been no attacks since I have been president, since 9/11. One of the major theaters against al Qaeda turns out to have been Iraq. This is where al Qaeda said they were going to take their stand. This is where al Qaeda was hoping to take ...

Raddatz: But not until after the U.S. invaded.

Bush: Yeah, that's right. So what? The point is that al Qaeda said they're going to take a stand.

Surely Bush didn't say something as inane as this? You're just smearing him with doctered text like this. He couldn't have gone to Iraq and made comments like these. And when whoever-it-was interjected with "But not until after the U.S. invaded", it's inconceivable that Bush would have said, "Yeah, that's right. So what?" These must be lies on your part. People would have just thrown things at him.

Yeah. The dictators in U.S. client states were in a class all of their own.
If only would could have gotten Russia to be a client state, then they could have starved millions of their own people.

Do you agree that a chair would have been better than a shoe?

Debate!
Best part is, this guy is now being called a hero. A guy that missed twice from 5 yards away. In what kind of culture does EPIC FAIL=HERO?

You said it , not me.

If only they could have made MerkWorld a client state, then they could have used his incomprehensible zingers to power the lighthouse on Non-Sequitur Point in Cornwall.

Shame the shoe did not embed in his forehead, killing him instantly.
you disgust me.

Is that how you thank Bush for fighting terorism?
sure he wasn't perfect, but he had to do what was needed to do.

Quick! Name someone from those wars that missed their target from 5 yards and is being called a hero!

Didn't think so.

Appearantly, you aren't familiar enough with Stalin to get the meaning of that comment.

If I had put it in terms of metric footbal would you have been more likely to get it?

Apparently, you are not familiar enough with language, ideas and humour to be able to launch a zinger that sticks.

You're tripping over yourself trying to land blows. The question you posed was "In what kind of culture does EPIC FAIL=HERO?"

To which I offered one possible answer: "Vietnam, Afghanistan, Iraq? Dunno. USA?" Loads of 'heroes'; long costly counterproductive military failures.

Since when has missing a target from 5 yards been "EPIC"?

Your attempted zinger necessitated a cack handed change of topic mid-zing.

It's no concern of mine if you feel proudly parochial and intellectually insecure, Merk.
