The post that was quoted here has been removedYup, like in Venezuela right now. (and Germany years ago)
So then your net worth cannot be more than a thousand loaves of bread. And the socialist dream of controlling the masses by impoverishing them is reality!
In America, when the income tax was first introduced, it only affected the well to do. Some towns may have had only one or two that actually paid this tax. But what happened over the years, INFLATION. Eventually dirt poor minimum wage earners were paying draconian taxes. And the power pigs in Washington were tickled pink!
In fact, they still ARE. It was demonstrated years ago that it costs more to adjudicate the taxes on the poor than the money they get from the poor. And are the Democrats doing *anything* to correct this? Negative! they love it.
The long term goal of politicians right now - as it has been for a long while, is to get more power over the people. Totalitarianism.
The REAL question is: Should Congress be limited to *their* income?
The 535 POWER PIGS in Washington have an annual income of $4.746 Trillion! Or, $8.87 BILLION per power pig to spend. And not only do these greedy PIGS pay NO TAXES, but they have the guns of government and can take even more from the people any time they want - and they want a LOT. Further insulting, is they do NO work for their wealth, they just STEAL it.
Yes, the greediest people in America should have mandatory limits that are more within their needs, and at NO TIME can they adjust taxation in their greedy favor without voter approval.

@wajoma saidI can start my own private health care firm, charity or non-profit organization, but it won't be nor can it ever be universal health care.
So start a low cost non-profit private health insurance, you're going to smash all the big boys by undercutting them, people will be flocking to join your scheme, it sounds majical. Those few maniacs who don't believe you will just have to take responsibility for their decisions.

@kazetnagorra saidThat's the downer for you isn't it, you don't get to force it on people and that's what gnaws ya nuts. But keep talking it up it sounds absolutely majical and you should have no problem signing people up voluntarily.

Good luck with a new beginning in not forcing people to conform to your dream feelings.

@wajoma saidI don't think most eligible voters have much of an issue with universal health care, and I have no problems paying taxes so that fewer people die.

Those few people like you who get a stiffy from making sure other people die from easily treatable ailments can get lost.

@earl-of-trumps saidOr you have proven again and again that you're a lunatic and your points too dumb for anyone but marauder to bother addressing. He seems to have a lot of time on his hands.
Just saying.
I wait patiently for the totalitarians in here to counter my points. But of course, my facts are correct and the truth hurts

@whodey saidI guess free market Capitalism is no longer the domain of the Conservative GOP.
Well let's see.
Warren Buffett...……….democrat
George Soros...………..democrat
Bill Gates...……………….democrat
Say, you may be on to something here.
Off with their heads!!!
GOP used to be joined at the hip with the rich and powerful that ran Wall Street.
I have always viewed free market Capitalism as a form of economic liberalism.
Free market,
Liberal market
Aren't they really close to the same thing ?
Today's billionaires don't really think like conservatives any more.
They think outside the box.
Their ideas move humanity forward.
They don't drag humanity backwards, like conservatives.
So you just keep right on labelling the Bill Gates of this world as elites.
After all, that's what the Communists did a century ago. 😛

@earl-of-trumps saidI'm thinking I would rather have a benevolent dictator than to be part of a Collective Society!!!!!!!!!!!! At least I could possibly still enjoy stone crabs while dining in Kansas. Collectivism, Socialism, Communism (Bernie)_ would not stand for that.
