Stop blaming rap (part 2)

See the OP. Rap has drastically changed since the 90s, when you elderly folks heard about "gangsta" rap.

Despite this, you guys keep blaming rap music for the social problems blacks face. Instead of holding the police accountable for killing unarmed, non-violent blacks you blame rap music. Instead of acknowledging decades (really, centuries) of systemic racism, you just blame rap music.

systemic racism is nothing more than a tool to blame whites for the failures of blacks.
When its all said and done, they will still be black and you will still be queer. But your teaming with anyone/anything to harm normal people is noted.

I never came across anyone that blames rap for the social problem of blacks. Here is the list again for what is to blame
- broken homes
- fatherless children
- lack of education
- poor parenting
- poverty

When people dont face these initial problems, music is a nonissue, like in the case of some blacks that grow up in stable family life with a father around.

In pretty sure Dook111 meant the following - Rap music of the violent type contributes. It is not the cause. There are root causes also called the underlying causes of problems. There are are additional contributory factors. Rap is not an underlying cause, but just a small factor contributing to the failure of the black community to get their act together.

That's obvious. My point is this argument is used to shift blame away from where it belongs: systemic racism.

That, and blaming rap music in this day and age is flawed and outdated, since rap is quite far from those "gangsta" days.

First of all, step your sarcasm game up.

Secondly, poverty and oppression caused by systemic racism can lead people into despair, and can lead people to a life of crime, drug use, etc. Such a life would naturally break down families and lead to the other issues you mentioned.

Nothing exists in a vacuum. Social problems don't appear out of thin air.

Actually, men trying to impregnate as many women as they can, has nothing to do with racism.
Women being sluts not caring about parenting has nothing to do with racism.
Dropping out of school and joining gangs has nothing to do with racism.
What you have is a bunch of lame excuses which is the reason why blacks will never solve their problems.
They blaming to wrong people. The problem is THEMSELVES.

Check how many black homes are broken because of unfaithful men
Check how many black women have 4 kids for 4 fathers.

So do pop videos; rock music videos did the same thing for decades. In fact, country music now does the same thing; country music went from folk songs to "bro country" with videos of women dressed in skimpy outfits.

Focus on that and they will fix it.
