Dolt, this is not about Dermocrats versus republicans.
The fact that GWB's approval rating dropped after 2004 is a case study. The fact that people disapproved after electing him shows their thinking was flawed. Note: it is not even whether or not you voted for him. It is just whether or not he was elected. Paul Krugman at the NY Times had a lot of criticism for GWB and I am quite sure he didn't vote for him. I kept writing him over and over telling him, "Paul, GWB was elected by the American people. Obviously we all approve of what he's doing".
Originally posted by whodeyApparently quite a few of the people who attended these protests were first-time protesters, showing up in the middle of a work day, some having taken their kids out of school for the day to attend. For Joe-Blow-conservatives, who normally wouldn't even consider wasting time on some stupid protest, that is a true shift in behavior. If they are willing to do that then perhaps they are also willing to start picking up the phone and pressuring Congress to pay attention to them, which is the only way to make any of this matter.
So the question is, is this a fading fad or a movement gaining momentum which will soon clash with the powers that be?
Perhaps the Ents are waking up and finding that they are strong. Or perhaps they will go back to sleep. I don't know. But I really hope they continue to be insulted by liberals. It will only strengthen their resolve.

Please back away from the conspiracy theory Koolaid. Go to the protests, call and write your representatives, vote libertarian or whatever ...all good, fine and dandy. Enthusiastically agreeing with statements like telerion's (which was bait BTW), and tossing about wonderful terms such as 'facism', makes you a right-wing nutjob, and just discredits the vast majority of normal people who went to these things.
Please don't do that. Seriously.
