Originally posted by cheshirecatstevensI am exploring how the concept of "attempted murder" is applied even when the person accused was not trying to murder anyone and didn't have motive to murder them [at least as far as we know]. Negligent parents accused of murdering their children [through "reckless and extreme disregard for human life"] and Benaissa accused of trying to murder [presumably all] of her her sexual partners [also through "reckless and extreme disregard for human life"] clearly have something in common. So my question about "children" was me trying to get my head round, what is for me, a distorted concept of "murder".
Why bring in children to the argument? I'm not following, explain the relevancy.
