@averagejoe1 saidOr bring the men in for a snip snip session.
Forget that blank space. Why don’t we just require a tube-tying every time a woman comes in for an abortion. How nice, she gets to have another choice !! The ‘State’ ,As y’all like to refer to it, should have a great interest in that. Pencil me in as a Yea!
Your sexism in these debates is duly noted.

@averagejoe1 saidSo you are in favor of subjecting women, but not men, to the crushing lifetime penalty of poverty. Especially women of color. Do I have that right?
I agree with Vivify, a pregnant woman makes her own personal decision. I have always agreed with this point on the Forum.
But there is another part to this argument. If a woman chooses to get pregnant, and I definitely think they do, if she changes her mind about having a baby, does that mean that I, and other taxpayers, should step in with our money and reliev ...[text shortened]... oes that mean that we would have to feed and clothe the child too? I thought that would be her job.

@earl-of-trumps saidPlease tell me what percentage of abortions you consider "late-term"?
@vivify - said
Unwanted children will only make society worse; eliminating abortion will inevitably result in broken homes, higher crime rates, drug use, depression, suicide, etc.
Yes yes, we see all that with women that get pregnant just to get on the welfare payroll. Very sad.
But I caution you, you can say the same liabilities exist with keeping prison ...[text shortened]... want to start eliminating them on that basis.
At the very least, late term abortions are murder.
Given the right's proclivity for hyperbole, the actual answer is no doubt far, far less than whatever you imagine it to be.

The least educated states in the US. Which ones have been pushing for anti-abortion laws to "save the children". It puts into perspective just how much they care about the children.
@mott-the-hoople saidIt's not murder if I'm just taking him for a little stroll outside. I'll put him back in afterwards, I promise.
a murder charge

The post that was quoted here has been removedYou falsehooder, you.
Anyway, if a guy impregnated a woman, there is legal recourse for support from him. I hate it for her if, allowing herself to get pregnant, she hadnt planned ahead, she hadnt gigured on hiring a lawyer to go after him. She hadnt figured that she was laying with a loser.??
I am seeing a couple of poor choices in this scenario, choices which she made or did not make which got her in this predicament. So let us put a little blame on the woman, who wanted to get pregnant or she wouldn’t be pregnant, and for poor planning in the way of going after this guy.
Are you suggesting we all be taxed for money to pursue him? She should have stayed hime that night, dont you think?
So the guy is responsible, so it is between the two of them. I eont be involved , I hope. I hope Marxism doesnt tell me to get involved. I hope she prevails and the guy has to support his child.
You are wrong about avjoe, he Is indeed responsible.

@zahlanzi saidIf states truly wanted to "save the children", they could increase, not decrease, access to sex education and affordable birth control.

I notice that the anti-choice crowd never talks about eliminating abortion on the front end, before pregnancy. They only care about restricting a woman's right to access safe, affordable abortion after the fact. Prevention is never in their wheelhouse. They could spend a fraction of the money spent on abortion now by helping to prevent it in the first place. So instead of actually helping low-income women, they insist on shaming them at their most vulnerable moment. Typical.

The post that was quoted here has been removedRead it again, Dutch. I am saying a rapist, pribably ALL rapists, should be ‘snipped’. Of course ‘pregnancy is the fault of the man and the woman. No argument. Courts should come down hard on DNA-proven fathers. And on child support. Throw them in jail. The court doesn’t, to my knowledge.
Duchess, you and i get sideways on threads like this, ...Why? Because i believe in self reliance and SELF responsibility, to deal with one’s own self-inflicted problems. None of the libs on RHP follow that line of thought, that line of reason. They think we are all one family. They use words like equality equity and inclusion to the extreme.
I just dont think so.

Certainly you do not mean to pay for birth control AND for abortions. I would hope not.
