I'd say they be shot by a firing squad.

In fact, I think all people who got life sentences should be shot by firing squads, they won't get out anyway.
What's the point of shooting them if they can be perfectly good citizens once castrated?

I can think of another reason.

To protect us from them. To protect those that recognise your right to life, liberty and property from those that do not recognise what a right is. KN should be locked up.
Ah yes, those pesky quantum physicists!

Yes, the mafia is a bit more upfront about their extortion.
No, we should redistribute wealth because it's in everyone's interests. But let's not start this discussion again, you won't be reasonable about it.

Yep. Sometimes I like to redistribute wealth by breaking into houses and taking people's stuff. Those rich selfish bastards. If they'd only pay more taxes I would have been prevented from having to redistribute their wealth for them. I also think prison sentences are too easily given. Imagine that.

Is it to keep them off the streets so they can't continue such behavoir? Is it all the above? If yes to any of the above, is it working or are there better approaches to the ...[text shortened]... ch as an eye for an eye. No long prison sentences. Just pay for your crime and off you go!!
A prison without the soap-to-the-floor-surprise-buttseks thing, it's not worth the lulz.

My taxes follow.

That doesn't mean their mistakes should be ignored.

There's no guarantee that they will be good citizens.

As for losing arms: I don't think societies that implement this sort of punishment have lower crime rates.
What if they take both arms?

Gottya there, eh?

Non-violent crimes should be treated differently than violent crimes. Prison needs to be a last resort for non-violent crimes instead of the first resort.

Non-violent property crimes are a gray area that should be treated on a case by case basis. If a previous offender has not rehabilitated then prison is the next step.

Unfortunately (and as I've stated previously), rehabilitation is not practiced in the American prison system. We set up felony offenders to be long term prison lifers. Some deserve it, but some also deserve a chance to have paid their debt to society and have a reasonable chance at living outside the prison system. For the most part they are not given that chance.

If you've been to jail the chances are even smaller.

So, dude, you'd better stay quiet.

Neither have I Seitse. You just read it like that because you wanted to.
You read that into EVERYTHING. Face it, you're obsessed with butts.
It's OK, there are others like you out there. Probably a butt support group
or two out there for you.
You're just a scared little boy and want to go back in the butt don't you?

Don't make me link the thread in which you claim to have been raped, trying to justify in a way your homophobia.

I also have a very interesting PM from you.

Trust me, this is a very good time to let go, stop chasing me throughout the forums, and keep joking and laughing together.
