Early on, my boss verbally abused me. I thanked him years later, as I worked that much harder, acquired more clients than he had let’s call it tough love. Later he complemented me, and now he works for me.
But the best comment, ‘ “ fire people without notice” is a doozy. If I notify an employee that I will fire him at the end of the week, he will have plenty of time to scuttle and undermine my biz from the inside. If Jobs had done that, we prob would not have a magic MacAir!
